I m not an expert but this is my 2nd daewoo Im dealing with...
If your budget is limited and you want sedan, daewoo is best for you but you need to know few things before purchasing this car.
1- Make sure the car is not rusty... and the body is in good condition, particularly the engine cabin and floor is in genuine condition... welded, repaired floors, broken muki would put you in an ending trouble .. so never buy a daewoo in compromised body condition.( its challenging to find daewoo with excellent body condition but once you find it, you get a life time partner)
2. Try to find a car with better engine and suspension. its parts are relatively costly... so find a car with minimum mechanical problems. Plus daewoo has this wiring issues , make sure wiring is in good condition.
3. Always buy officer scheme car and dont go for taxi cab. Taxi scheme car doesnt have a resale comparatively. ( and if you could, find an islamabad registered officer scheme car for two reasons; Lower token tax (approx 400rs per year) and better resale price.
4. Make sure you have a mechanic around you in your reach... Major cities like Islamabad, Karachi lahore do have daewoo mechanics in abundance but you wont them in every city. And other mechanics ruin this car . so its compulsory to have a mechanic in your city.
5. Daewoo doesnt offer you excellent mileage because of its powerful engine and old age. on petrol it gives around 10km per liter on avrg. However on CNG it gives you 190km per 55-cylinder.
6. It is advisable to search and take much time to find a good daewoo instead of buying in hurry and putting yourself in trouble. A troubled daewoo is also your lifetime partner .....bcz nobody purchases it :)))))))))))
Good luck
