i need to know best spare shope for daewoo engine parts for overhauling with gud price. i found daewoo points in isb like in g-10 markaz and others are quite expensive for every part from pindi sadar shopes.....

kindly advice me gud shopes to buy stuff, bcoz it gona be lot of difference if i buy from pindi instead of isb.....

As Salam U Alikum Everyone:

I am new with cars and at very beginner level. I want to have big car with less price; so i bought Daewoo Racer 2 weeks back.

Shape wise ride is in good condition. Engine wise i don't know much. As far as i know; if thers in no noise from engineer it means it is in good shape.

i don't feel any noise in engine or any other part expect one; When i turn AC ON, there is some noise from compressor. Any help any one can offer.

Other problems(things need to be claified) what i had with it are as follows:

1) Break paddle some time become very light and some times very hard to press.

2) Orange light in speed-o-meter blinks sometime; not always.

3) There is some old gas kit is installed in it with chock button. When i try to switch to Pertol cars stops and don't even start. When i contacted last owner; he said take off rubber blocker from air intake and then i will be fine. Everytime i have to take that rubber out and then i can drive on Petrol.

4) I am using one same CNG station; but getting milage different everytime and i didn't go more then 120 on AC and 150 without AC.

5) When i am using AC on gas; some time car can't get it self from 1 to 2 gear or Dead slow on 1 and 2 gear.

6) Breaks burnt out and almost failed when coming down from murree. Then i start using 1 and 2 gear and it get normal after around 10 mins.

For question number 3; one CNG guy told me you need to install new gas kit cost around 12,500 Rs.

As i am new to cars; i don't any thing and any body can make me fool :s.

As you all guys are more experince then me; so i am looking for help from u ppl. Specially Sir TestDrvier. Is it possible if i can show you my car. so you can give me valuable suggestions.

(y)..Welcome to DFC!. Regarding your queries:

1. Please specify what kind of noise it produce. A/C compressor can produce different sound when

a. The belt is looose/worn-out

b. A/C clutch has burnt.

c. A/C internals breaks

Better get it checked by Mechanic.

1. The brake system get hardened upon heat-up. The calipers rubber rings expand on heatup causing the caliper to harden. Get the brakes regularly serviced every 3 months.

2. The yellow light is actually Malfunction Indication Lamp (MIL). There might be some problem with wiring/sensors. Get the ECM (ECU) scanned.

(For points 1-3 contact Mr. Athar at I-9 [051-4433107])

1. You can install electronic switch for CNG if your kit supports it. Better get in contact with CNG installer. You can contact Suleman Shahji at I-10 (0301-5511942)

2. 120 with A/C is good average for local

3. Again contact Mr. Athar for physical examination of the said problem

4. Already answered this problem at point 2.

u can hardly find the genuine plastic ones n yes they do come for around 2000-2200 but the rubber ones r available at Sohail Autos (Azhar shaheed market, rawalpindi saddar) for 450 PKR

i have direct rediator fan , its temperature is normal without AC , but when i start AC it will boil water with huge pressure and bottle get empty in just half and hour , mechanic told me its gaskit will be changed , so i changed it but still problem while using AC , Temperature Pointer dont go so high and just near to C but rediator will drink all water in bottle in just half an hour , normally my RPM run under 1000 but now a days its run still high between 2000 to 2500 even i dont press the excelator, but should i do???? I noticed that Daewoo Rediator system is different than others,

u need to clean ur rediater if problem is not solve change the rediater with nissan tonic rediater 3 nali waley k sath
inshalah gari gharm nai hogi

rpm ka masla to ap khud set ker sakte hein
ap es k fuse check karoo
gari ka ak fuse kharab ho gia hai osko change karoo masla hal ho jayega

brother meray donon problem solve nahi howay , men nay rediator ki safai bhi karwai , without AC koi problem nahi but jab AC lagta hai to water boil hona shoro ho jata hai aur aadhay ghantay men bottle khali, mechanic ka kehna hai kay gaskit sahi bethi nahi , is ko dobara khola jay ga aur kuch kharadiye ka kam bhi hoga ,
dosra problem kay gari chalty chaltay speed pakar leti hai yani RPM 2000 to 2500 tak chala jata hai, fuse theek hain electrition ka kehna hai yeh carbator ka masla ho sakta hai ,
wat will u give me advice for next step.

1. Does the radiator fan automatically start when A/C is ON. If not, the ECM is not receiving A/C ON request. Whenever A/C is ON, the ECM receives the request and as a result various parameters are changed to compensate the additional load including IAC steps (increase the RPM around 100), Coolant Sensor resistance change (Radiator fans starts at 97C instead of 99C)

2. Does the Check Engine Light appear when RPM goes to 2000-2500 range? If yes, possibly the Coolant Sensor is faulty and needs replacement.

3. Open the radiator bottle cap (Offcourse when engine temperature is normal :)). Start the engine and see if the water is circulating properly. If not, get the thermostat valve checked.
