Daraz.pk counterfeit scam

I recently bought a 64GV EVO SD card from Daraz.pk (https://www.daraz.pk/samsung-class-10-evo-micro-sd-card-64gb-orange-samsung-mpg56420.html ) After putting it in my phone, some images didn't save. I tested it on PC and it shows it's a fake On the SD card it says made on Taiwan (according to Google this means it's a fake).

I threw away the packaging. Daraz.pk are refusing to issue a refund. What should I do?

I don't think it can be helped. Even if you had the packaging, the Daraz people are extremely low in ethics and morality. Consumer courts is a possibility but have no idea what is the success rate and what documentation they might need. If nothing happens let it be a lesson and never buy online stuff unless you are 101% sure of the credibility of the seller.

Only buy stuff on daraz that is sold by the company (meaning vendor like Samsung ,Panasonic etc) itself .rest of the stuff is all counterfeit.cheeze kharab nikal aye to yeh paisa wapas nahi kartae .

That doesn't sound right. Selling counterfeit products is a criminal offense. Daraz.pk have a 100% Genuine sticker on their product page. They should be responsible for what they're selling on their website.

Until this, I've had better experience with online shopping than other retailers. I guess in Pakistan, there really is no rule of law. If Daraz.pk is able to get away with selling counterfeit products, I don't know who we can trust in this country. A real shame.

call them and intimate that you are going to serve legal notice through your lawyer and shall go to consumer court too....consumer court is very effective in these cases, they have no court fee and the justice is speedy...

I agree. Daraz doesn't warehouse products itself so always check seller. Of course this doesn't absolve daraz.

Back in 2007 i took Citibank to consumer court and won 45000 from them, no fee or lawer is required a legal notice of 30 days mentioning specifically that you take them to consumer court if remedy is not provided is the legal requirment. Also keep the proof of delivery for legal notice

Never buy items from online stores in Pakistan exceeding 1000 rupees value.

I dont have the time and energy to beg them to return my money in case the item is not as described.

If I were to buy an item worth 10k 20k I better move my bum and get it with my own hands from the store.

Plus online stores in Pakistan aint cheap anyways.

most of the samsung cards in Pakistan are Fake, Sandisk is much better if you are buying in Pakistan

I have bought so many times from daraz but have never had a problem, apni apni qismat I guess.

Always look at product reviews and seller score though, most of time it helps to open up the seller profile and see how other products are reviewed as well.

I have spent over 100,000 on 100+ orders on Daraz. Out of those only one order had a problem. I ordered 2 power supplies for CCTV and the seller sent one new and one used in poor condition. I complained to Daraz and they refunded full amount and asked to keep the product as well.

Previously I tried Homeshopping and ShopHive, had poor experience with both of them on first order. So I currently only shop only at Daraz in Pakistan.

Same, I've had bad experience with bytes.pk and some other local stores but daraz works fine. One just need to be careful about the seller.

Btw Daraz just got bought by Alibaba so I'm hoping it'll become even better.
