Two accused in Clifton road accident case get bail
The Judicial Magistrate (South) Karachi Abul-Ala Jatoi on Wednesday granted bail for a sum of Rs 1.5 million of two accused boys in a road accident case, in which four pedestrians including two women and a child were killed.
Investigation Officer (IO) Muhammad Aslam Kolachi produced the two accused, Saad Ali Khan and Munir Mengal, before Judicial Magistrate South.
He submitted an application for their physical remand for further investigation, but the court rejected the application.
IO Kolachi, said after court proceedings, said that public prosecutor Shugafta could not appear to argue the case and the court granted bail while rejecting the remand application.
Two housemaids named Saima and Sabia, an unidentified man and a child were killed on August 31 in a road accident that took place between Khayaban-e-Shujaat and Khayaban-e-Shamsheer within the jurisdiction of Darakhshan police.
