Dear devil Himself!
I do agree that Daewoo is a good car having latest technologies, but the thing is this that it is after all 92 model and now day by day it will increase its wear n tear, and you will have to c the mechanics time n again which be bothersome for you, when i had daewoo, i think i was the biggest advocate for daewoo, i bought one daewoo for a friend and one for my uncle, no doubt in this price range daewoo has no alternative...but if u can afford its heavy cost spare parts then you must keep it..infact i myself could not maintain it..so i gave u the advice...eg once its A/C got struct, i went to federal motors they charged me 24000 Rs for brand new compressor and gas charging and the next season compressor again went out of order, then i spent 7000 for 2nd hand compressor, again same hapened, this is only one example...Brakes on hilly areas are a serious problem,and i think that can not be tolerated, anyhow best of luck for your daewoo.

Damn dude thats a rip off , I got my AC fixed with a second hand Compressor that cost me 3500/= and a Service+Gas etc worth 1500/= and I got the Axle Joints for 1500/= and 500/= for Repair cost etc etc. I dunno about expensive parts but Yeah the car is 1993 and has to wear out sometime now. Anyways the Price Tag VS Car is the most important thing for me right now, as i dont wanna get tied into Lease etc or get a pricy car right now.
"testdriver" has given some no's on this post, better check around for parts price before buying.

Yaar the federal motors are thiefs. They i'll butcher you with blunt knife. Once there was a monoply of federal motor as no one other knew the car but now there are many other good mechenics and shops which have made the prices low..

Mechanics at federal motors are really good but they make lot of money through parts. Perhaps the best option is to purchase parts from market and get them fitted through federal motors.

Dear Usama not judging you dude just giving my opinion. 24,000/= Seems like a lotta cash, thats why I said that u got ripped. Anyways seems like a good to shop around for parts and get em put in at your liking.

Usama Sanden's brand new compressor costs Rs.8,000/= and add 2000/= max. for service and gas charging, the sum comes to 10,000/= and I assure you once you install a brand new Sanden compressor, its good for 5 years and best of all its Repairable unlike N/D which cannot be repaired but the thing is Sanden AC goes perfect for 4 to 5 years atleast !

Yes the Original Compressor is very expensive, anyways Guys can anyone tell me where I can get New Bumpers for my Daewoo.

Any idea regarding cost of Front and Rear Bumpers ?
I heard there are new Dash Boards in Bilal Ganj for Daewoo, any ideas.

yes instrument cluster as well as Dash board of Daewoo cielo is aval at Bilal Ganj. Cielo has almost same fittings as of Racer and many die hard Daewoo lovers have even up graded the shape and int. My friend at Lahore exchanged has instrument cluster for rs 800/-

You can use the Generator of Lancer if available.
And if the the problem still persist change the whole wiring.

Instrument cluster comprises of your cars usual guages : speed, RPM,fuel, temp and different warning lights.

i found a used AC compressor of a daewoo for one of my frined who was in multan.
cost was 2500 Rs. but i cannot assure that it can be found again at same price again. max will be 6 7 thousand

since WHEN are McPherson Struts, Rack and Pinion Steering and "Transverse" Brakes NEW technologies? and the "Transverse" brakes do not mean that one front and one rear brake operate before the other two. it simply means ur brake pipes are connected diagonally, so if one brake pipe fails, u will have working brakes on the other two wheels.
btw, theres guys here in peshawar who are modifying ur regular taxi scheme daewoos into cielos. they strip ur car of everything and put in stuff from a cielo. even the engine (twincam). i am sure they'll have parts for the car too.

i own a daewoo....well after seen all the comments yaar i am quite satisfied with my car...i do most of the repairs myself but sometimes take to workshop....YES DONT go to that Federal Motor chap...too damn expensive....

i found a good mechanic named Mian Khan at Tipu Road Rawalpindi. He is good at handling Daewoo's. Got my engine overhauled by him...parts new + old all are available at least in pindi...u just have to find the appropriate one.

About AC Compressor...my friend got a kabli one in 3000 + gar charges etc......24000...wow

Any body having idea of having vetilated disc brakes on daewoo??

im interested in swapping with complete dash board with cielo's??? any suggestions

also heard about a 5 speed gear box for daewoo! any body with this experience
