my friend's Charade 86, recond 2002 (everything was changed except ac), is giving lot of problems while ac on. after several repairing/service which cost him 9k, he's going to change the whole ac unit. now experts please suggest which one is best?

he wants to keep this car for next 4 to 5 years and it's mostly used in city, means lot of traffic jams!

what's the cost of complete ac unit (incl installation charges) of Sadan/Denso or Success?

Denso is good but quite expensive.
I've heard from many people that Success is also good and it gives very good performance at an affordable cost.
Never used Success but from other people's opinion and reviews I get the idea that it is also good.

If you think Success is a good thing, then I think it's a good option, as zeejigs says it costs around 16k. Because 40k for people like my friend would be too much.

Regardless of ac brand, TECHNICIAN who installs the setup is also responsible for best performance. Inexperienced technician can ruin your ac and may be your engine!

This isn't saidpur rd. it's near Chandani Chowk, I dn't knw the name of that rd. I mean when you go to saidpur rd from Muree rd, u'll see a lot of AC service shops.

Salam all.
a couple of days ago i drove my car more than 40 min in city with ac on.while waiting on a red light ,i found out that the gas oozed from the hood and ac stopped cooling.I took it to meachanic and he topped it with the gas.
Now this thing happened again after two days.
The car is corolla 90 and running heavy on AC
What could possibly be the reason?Suggestions are welcomed

DENSO need more power from engine to cool than SANDEN. Is it correct??? Once I was installing AC in my car and AC electricine told me that for small cars SANDEN is best.

An AC guy at national market was suggesting me the same setup with change in the AC grips.

Sanden is way much better than DENSO:

Now let me explain you guys some details of why DENSO or Sanden are rated better:

1. There is no temperature issue as a brother above said. Both compressors can work on high temperatures
2. In any car (esp. 1000cc) compressor size really matters alot.
3. Not only does a compressor play an important part in cooling, but evaporator and condenser also play a very important role. (internal freezing unit : condenser)

4. Now in Pakistan, especially in alto 1000cc the internal freezing unit is very small. Now if you just get that changed with a japanese alto unit, i swear man itni aalaaa cooling ho jati hai k u wont believe it.

5. I have had a sanden unit in my alto for 3 years.
   A. it never failed
   B. Only once i got the compressor seal re-done
   C. It was described by alot of alto driving people as the best chilled AC experience they had in a 1000cc Alto.

So if you want to enjoy a low-cost compressor, just give it the right thing...
P.S remember, do-not use large sized compressors for MEHRAN because it already has a very congested engine place for cooling and may cause over-heat issues.

But for large cars, don't use small compressors cause they are low-priced.

Dear Pakwheelers! I'm new here and i don't know much about car accessories etc. I have a coure CL 2007. I got Sanden ac installed in it a year later after buying the car. Ever since the installation of ac, i' m not satisfied with its cooling. Mechanic say its the best cooling it can do but ac totally fails in the scorching heat of Multan. Whereas at night it really cools the car. Now i' m planning to change the ac and i' m thinking about Denso or Success. Please guide me on the basis of your experience which ac should i choose for my coure as i' m completely dissatisfied with Sanden. I will be waiting for your quick response. Thanking in advance! Hi hamdan here..I have baleno 1999 GXi full power on petrol/cng and I had a problem with ma Denso compressor mechanics told me that your Compressor is not working properly due to some leakage or piston problem in it.. and then he replaced ma compressor to Mitsubishi's small size compressor its is working really amazing and not takin too much load... But will it make any problem in couple of months... does this brand is not adorable or Sustainable?? do reply plzz Regards
