the little mitsubishi is actually a sanden design produced by mitsubishi, the scroll compressors on civics/corollas are also sanden design produced by denso.
Talking of compressors - If anyone recalls the old Harrisson compressors (iron units you could kill elephants with) are soo damn durable they can operate in sahara desert temperatures and still not lose effeciency

back to the thread, the A/C does not only revolve around the compressor, which in Pakistan is the choice word for every A/C problem, cooling loss - replace compressor, load - replace compressor, my cat died - replace compressor, i need to pee - replace compressor.
If everything is in serviceable range, meaning, the condenser should be able to shed heat properly, the evaporator should be able to suck heat properly, the TXValve or Orifice Tube should be working - if anything is out of spec cooling loss will result. Keep that in mind when working on A/Cs
