Well then black box would have been perfect for your car. You could have used black box and then used 3M PF after that as a sealant. BlackBox 1st step is mildly abrasive and it would have removed minor swirls and plus the black paint in the blackbox would have perfectly masked any imperfections in the paint and bring out the blackness in the paint. And the 2nd step i.e Carnauba Wax would have further enhanced the finish. Blackbox is made for negleted Black finishes and isnt recommend for new finishes. Even I myself have only used Black box complete only twice on my city and later on i just used The carnauba wax. From my experience you could have used Swirl X->BlackBox->3m PF. This would have given a good combination.

I have used Turtle wax hard shell and it greatly enhanced the reflections on a neglected finish and this shows in the paint and their are quite good refelctions in the car.

what's better than revealing a fresh layer of clear coat using a mild compound , bringing the original / genuine colour , and simply masking it by a sealant.. that's the formula i used .. maybe ill use the black box someday , but for now i'm good!

I believe people under estimate the results of turtle products.

they do make good products.

matlub if i get a meguiars ulitmate wax for 3600. everytime i apply it ill think yar aur kum ho gai. in this money i can get three bottles of ice synthetic wax.

with the use of hardshell and ice wax i can wax the car after 2 weeks without thinking about the cost. i do apply ice polish and ice wax on top after 14 days.

if i want a better shine i apply two layers of wax.

i do use ice shampoo. it was recommended by DC wax shop. i used to use sonax shampoo before.

as per my experience it does not add any yellowish tinge or anything.

anyhow , habanero here is just waxed with turtle wax , will treat it with swirlX n 3M.P.F. in the coming days before summer time hits bad , maybe this sat or sun...

just wanted to know can we use a damp yellow app to apply swirlX ?
habanero is in much better shape n i guess a damp app will use lesser product and lesser delayering of clear coat..

however , they only have waxes .. for enhanced and longlasting protection , u have to look into other (more expensive) brands , like here ive used 3M performance finish.. for weekly jobs , turtle wax all the way , and other stuff between 3-6 months ( depending on many factors , of course )

i agree with u as far as time is concerned.

i use ice synthetic wax. this is the time it takes.

1. wash n dry using MF. 30 mints.
2. wax application. 15 mints.
3. wax removal. 30 mints.

this is for a 2009 civic. the thing is that it takes between 1-2 hours on a weekend. yeh sub ho jata hai.

my point being y pay more when you can wax it after 2 weeks.

i applied wax on two consecutive weekends aur result kamaaalll tha. even Detail Crew appreciated it.

my daily driver is a 2010 mazda carol. it took me 20mints to wash n dry it.

When i started detailing, i started from turtle's basic zip wax shampoo and hard shell wax. Used those for like six months, got regular, improved my application and slowly bought the entire turtle range. The ice products are really good. The spray detailer is comparable to meguiars amd so is the interior protectant. Infact i would rate the turtle ice shampoo better than meguiars ultimate shampoo. The ice paste wax just wasnt my cup of tea..
I heard meguiars was so good so i though of giving it a shot. My first meguiars products were ultimate polish amd ultimate wax. Believe me the results were phenominal! The were so good i only buy selected turtle products now.. Use tou kar k dekho!

agreed .. obviously meguiars is the major league , but as it is said ' jitni cheeni dalo ge utna meetha ho jaye ga ' , there has to be a limit , but as one spends more time and gains more experience , the need for better products becomes inevitable , as for my case , swirlX n performance finish are the very first products ive bought after turtle waxes..
