a much better deal than buying used/abused high end JDMs such as Mark X etc and tonnes of times better than buying a new camry or accord which are abnoxiously priced at 9 n 7 million respectively

Imported 2013 BMW 3 series is 45-55 Lacs and Imported 2013 Camry is 90 Lacs and 2013 Accord is 70 Lacs? How is this possible? I mean how is this costing possible? Isn't BMW 3 series superior than any Camry or Accord?

I wondered the same till someone dawned upon me that it all depends upon duties v/s engine displacement and not brand. Camry 2.4l is for Rs. 9.8 million while Mercedes E Class begins from Rs. 8.49 million because E is 1.8l. Bigger engine, greater tax bracket.

That is indeed good news. Finally, it's time to do away with the reconditioned rubbish being dumped in your market conveniently masquerading as "high quality used JDM imports".

It's the price which matters here. People with Rs. 4.5 m usually import C Classes from the UK in particular. Reconditioned aren't allowed. JDMs do hold their place but that's in comparison to the locally manufactured. This new insight from Dewan will definitely affect importers now who have already been hit by the clipping off on the age range of imported vehicles.

That is long ago. Raza 1 has given the required info. People have been selling Kia and Hyundai cars owing to scarce availability of spares. And this scarcity has obviously given raise to price, more than double even.

Base Model is 4,499,000 and top of the line 316i trim is 5,499,000 which is much cheaper then Benz C180

There should be a different duty structure for random imports and imports for authorized dealerships. At least till the time this monopoly breaks and other companies can finally think of investing in the manufacturing plants.

Went with my uncle to buy this bmw was thrown a mile back with Pathetic thinking of BMW
1.Rear seat arm rest optional plz pay extra
2.6 speed auto std plz pay extra for 8 speed
3.No electric seats not even optional they dont come
4.No rear Ac wents
5.Fuel flow will be cut manually when u stop plz pay extra for electric one
6.Front rain sensors optional
7.Sun visors are optional for passenger seats
The list goes on and on merc ownS bmw in every way.BEAMER it will cost u around 63lac better off with a C AVANTGUARD

P.S you dont get a spare wheel they have run flat tires so they say you dont req a spare wheel

I think the price is exclusive of GST & other taxes so don't be so excited about the pricing ! but still a better buy than camry, accord is not that bad btw 1.6Ltr is good enough for Pakistan, we don't posses autobahn's nor we have good roads or easy traffic to test 1.8 ltr or 2.0 ltr above engines, therefore its a pretty good buy considering the 1.6ltr engine with turbo charge good economy plus the price cut that comes with it.Anyhow, good things to come in coming months as PPP will be going out dewan motors will be coming back & you guys will see new models from Huyndai too like i10 or i20.

I visited the BMW showroom. Prices are inclusive of all taxes. registration is only applicable to actual cost of the car not including the duty/custom, so wud hardly be a tad over an altis/civic. It may not have the best of all the features as other friends over here mentioned. But the 8 forward speed automatic transmission with steering mouted manual option is included in 55 lacs, which in my opinion is an excellent thing. The horsepower is 136 bhp which is not very impressive, but the torque at 201 Nm certainly is! compared to 174 of civic and 160 something for an altis. There are three lines available with minor differences in front grill/bumper and fog lights, Modern, Sporty, Luxury. I like first one the most, the one shown in brown in the picture.Definitely a better option than 4 year old imported c mercs, yes c180 by shahnawaz and brand new A4 are good options too. But if had the money i'll take the beamer anyday!

Even I f I had money, I cannot come to peace with this fact. You know, I visited Dubai couples of months back and was amazed to see that almost all cabs were none other than so-called "executive" Camry. That is the actual worth of the car.

I don't have anything against Camry, it is a great family Sedan BUT IT IS JUST NOT WORTH 9 MILLION FOR HEAVENS SAKES. Same holds good for all other imported brands.

saw this one in islamabad showroom today not bad but then its a 1.6 hmmm not for me then!! but wht got my ears was the 5series hybrid 530i hybrid in november now thts more like it yes its 1 core 20 sweet but hey not bad at all, as its a hybrid so I can import one myself under 70lakhs now thts good news for me, the 3series isnt much of a contender as fully loaded is 55 lakhs tht compare to merc c-class tht sells well suits our roads better and lets face it we as Pakistani like mercs then bmws how many old 5 seires, 7 series or 3 series u seen on the roads compare to same model mercs?????
