Actually have the same engine in my car. Have Daihatsu Charade 1996 Japan Model (Sedan). Engine is G200
Actually this engine is the headache to have but having this car for about 9 years. I sourced its every part yes some are new and some are kabli parts. Im from Rawalpindi and you can easily get Its Genuine ECU from Saddar Madina Plaza Rawalpindi. Person and shop name is Ikram. Here is his card.

G200 is the chassis code not the engine.

Search for g200 engine and you'll the get the idea.

I know what the G200 charade is, but asking for G200 engine wont exactly find you the correct ECU, G200 came with both HC-E and HD-E engines - they had different wiring plugs too compared to the old model engines which were bolted to G102, G100 etc.

Can you please elaborate major difference b/w HC-E and HD-E engine?

I had this car from like 9 years now but cant differentiate that my engine is HC-E or HD-E

The block has a giant casting mark with the words HD or HC on it.

The big differences are HC and HD are 1.3 and 1.6 liter engines, the HC ones with efi had throttle body facing the driver side of the car (rhd)

It also came as carburettor engine too.

The HD came in G200 and other cars like the applause etc which were built on an entirely different body shell.
