opposed piston diesels are not usually not found in Pakistan, the British used the best variation though, the mighty deltic in diesel electric trains. Its supremely smooth when warmed up and has a peculiar exhaust note.

I heard it once in UK at an old railyard museum where they had started one up as a monument. ITS AMAZING to hear.

Its a triangle shaped engine, with three crankshafts and it works on the 2 stroke diesel principle.

when choosing viscosity you choose lower on cold and acceptable on hot, Mobil1 0W40 is very good as its TBN is 9,8 and has extremely strong HTHS characteristics. - People usually balk at it in pk, because it pours out so thin - of course it will, its a 0W oil, yet they miss the 40 spec of it.

opposed piston is very very old, the old Napier deltic was opposed piston. Achates Power in USA (the one you mention) is still not in production vehicles.

Its amazing though for a small package.

I dont think you are getting the point, high viscosity is a killer for bearings.

remember when I said Pakistan is 50 years behind in automotive. This is why - this was done on old 6V dynamo cars.

Its not an old habit die hard situation, its an airheaded idiot problem that people have.

Sir not only in automotive .....in everything.....laproscopy was common in America in 80s...... Pakistan started it in 2000s

bad oil pressure pod ( to kick someone into oblivion simple ustad like comment viscosity loss at engine operation temperature haayl doo nambar ay )

That oil pressure vs the operating temperature...

Cold start pressures are always a bit higher.. Oil pressure depends on the viscosity as well as engine clearances..

Zulfiqar bhai i have a Toyota Corolla 2od and over a year ago i had overhauled the engine. It was running great with no blow, no engine oil reduction. I went to my village which is in kpk 5 to 6 times on my car. The distance from Isl to my village is 360km. But the last i went I experienced same blow. Before that the engine was great. I showed it to a mechanic in perwadhai and he said that your engine is weak. Needs overhauling. Changing of pistons etc... Recently the engine is consuming alit of diesel and the average is very low. Looking for your expertise suggestions... Regards

Bhai, rebuild karatay huay parts khud liay thay (authentic and original)?
Agar nai tau phir rebuild kara layn and buy every component urself ... only original ones. And all of them (coz our ustaads usually put lot of parts from nearby scrap markets or from old engines). As gas as applicable, put every part brand new

Bhai sab kuch naya dalwa tha. New pistons, gaskets etc. Pura engine khulwa kar block or head dono banwae the. Parts bhi jo market mein availabel the woi hi leye the. Sab kuch naya tha phir bhi. Abhi 1 saal hi hua hai or engine blow mar raha hai thora thora. Soch raha hon ke tayphet karwa lon.
