Diesel to cng conversion

It is possible to convert a diesel to cng. Saw an old Pajero few days back on cng station which also had some add. on its REAR SHEESHA regarding diesel to cngconversion.

Yes bro it is possible i have read this on the news paper.A diesel car can be converted in cng but it uses 25% diesel and 75% cng.This add was for Four-by-Four and also for hiace.

For the sake of your commment, If I agree with it, then CNG is used as econo fuel, whats the economy when it uses almost 25% diesel?

It is very much possible. I wonder how ppl here say it is not without doing a search on the Internet. Long time ago an engineer of HDIP told me that the real target of the CNG was diesel engines, but it could not take of in Pakistan because diesel was way way cheaper than petrol and even CNG.

JUst Google and you can see diesel to CNG conversions are possible and kits available. For long time I have seen ads in Jang newspaper about diesel to CNG conversion.

for converting diesel to CNG in can be done by changing the Head of the engine. instead of the diesel injector and heater and regular petrol head is used and the main block remains the same, A friend (a Pakwheeler working at scania in sweden) got trained at Hino PAk Karachi told me that almost all the CNG buses in Karachi are taken care at HinoPak. here in Korangi the Daewoo CNG buses are running strong. and the pick for these buses -- I am sure if some ones pushes the gas padle hard there can be a burnout with the passengers inside

it is possible AFAIK!
but i`ld suggest u not to do that because itna kharcha karoge conversion pe n in future cng prices r also expected to increase!
so apne engine ki tuning karwate rao n diesel pe e chlao!

LPG fumigation has been succesfully adopted to Diesel engines.
It works like CNG, the kit is connected to the intake manifold, which injects LPG into the air sucked in by the engine, and when compressed it creates more heat, and so ignition can be achieved with quite less diesel being injected in the cylinder. This can also be used as a performance mod.

You cannot control combustion let alone a diesel engine on CNG/LPG only.

Its possible for Diesel to convert to CNG but i heard in previous topics here that 2 solutions are available
1. Convert 100% to CNG in that way you can never use the Diesel again in same engine setup
2. Convert CNG Partially thats will use some proportion of CNG adn some Diesel and it will work and better and feasible solution for me.

Check market as many Old LCs are converted to CNG with Diesel Monsters
