Car detailers are like "nashaye" addicts and if dont detail car than become restless and pain in whole body Same like this i was feeling same pain and restless as from last 3 months i didnt detail any car due to my work commitments, frequent overseas trips and hot weather etc and in these 3 months my cars looks like horrible so decided to spend some time on one of my car Honda City Polish metal.


So recent sunday 6;00 am started "Bikni car wash" ( kacha / shorts ) in view of hot weather.

Selected necessary tools / products i.e
A) Meguiars Hyper wash
B) Wash mitt
C) 2 buckets
D) Meguiars grit guard
E) Meguiars APC Plus
F) Meguiars water Magnet
G) Yaryian film song cd "aaj blue hai pani pani pani...."
H) Tab water

Inserted Meguiars grit Guard in one of bucket ( white ) and made shampoo solution in that bucket with meguiars Hyper Wash with 400:1 ratio means 400 part water and 1 part Hyper wash, its quite thick shampoo than i fill bucket with pressurized water. In below pics u can see how Hyper wash made Insane suds, foam and lather.


In second bucket just fill simple water
car music system was playing Yaryian movie song "aaj blue hai pani pani....." to make complete mahool of Bikni car wash :P

Started from wheels / wheel arches, rinse them with water than sprayed Meguiars Diluted APC Plus ( 10:1 ratio ) on wheels, wheels arches and did some soft brushing for wheels, tiers and wheel arches.
Blue hai pani pani pani song was going on and suddenly song wording changed like " Blue hai pani oye ullo day pathay pani pani pani ...... :S i was wondering kay these words were not in original song than again i concentrated on my washing " blue hai panii pani panii or din be hai sunny sunny oye band ker iss kanjer khanye nu.... lokan daa Allah Allah kern da tame tay tera ****** khanye da....... " :o voice felt like some familiar:S.... OHHHH this voice of my Abba gee :-!:-!:-!He also said some more good words in my shaan:$ which i cant mention here due to PW censor policy :P:-#anyway unwillingly i had to stop music mahool and now just simple bikni wash

Washed each wheel and tire at a time and rinse thoroughly before going to next.


Double Bucket Car Wash
Now rinsed whole car with with open water to loose the the dirt than Dipped clean wash mitt in shampoo solution bucket and softly wipe on roof and than dipped in clean water bucket ( its recommended to also use meguiars Grit Guard in simple water bucket as well ) and rinse out the grit and contamination which wash mitt removed from roof, now again dipped wash mitt in soapy water and continue washing rest of car.
started from roof, than windows, back hood, doors, hood and in last wash bumpers, lower door panels as usually these area most dirty and if we wash them in first stage than wash mitt become dirty and will make mess and swirls/scratches on rest of car. In Lastrinsed off car thoroughly, again started from roof and wash down the vehicle.


Meguiars Grit Guard did excellent working and protection as all dirt fell and settle in the bottom of bucket and grit guard protected so the dirt should not rise which u can see in last pic :)


Drying Process
After washing, drying process started with help of Meguiars Water magnet Which absorbed water many times faster than simple microfiber and i dried whole car with one water magnet without even squeezing

First dried the windows, than painted surface and in last tiers, rims , door jambs , trunk and hood jambs etc this is very important as many of my brothers dont dry these areas and ultimately stubborn water marks appear or even rust in last stage ( for this purpose i used another piece of microfiber and kept separately for this purpose only )


Bikni car wash session end but i really liked the Hyper wash lots of sud and foam and excellent cleaning :)

So here is part 2 of my Honda City Polished Metal

A) Baggy Test
Plan was to start work from Meguiars Smooth Surface Clay Kit.

Detailing clay is the safest and most effective way to clean car paint.
As i mentioned before no wax of world cant give best outcomes if paint
surface is having contamination.

Detailing clay bars clean paints below the surface and safely remove all contaminants and leave the paint slick, smooth and clean.

so to determine the claying requirments did bagy test but glad to see paint was in good condition and very smooth and very very minor resistance while baggy test so skipped claying process

B) Polishing
Polishing not only remove minor imperfections but also its natural oils deep dark and nourish the paint. End results very clean, deep dark reflections with wet looks, remove dryness from paint.

I started with Meguiars Ultimate Polish , can use this polish by hands , Da polisher, Orbital polisher , i choosed Porter cable DA polisher and Meguiars Soft buff 6.5 inch polishing pad and did good massage to whole car.

C) Sealant
Polishing dont have its life so to protect it u need to wax the paint or use sealant for longer protection.
I opted Meguiars Glaze Synthetic Sealant #21.
This sealant is versatile in use, can be applied by hands as well as Da polisher, Orbital polisher.
I prefferd to apply by hand with help of meguiars foam applicator pad.

First i wipe whole exterior with Meguiars APC Plus 10:1 ratio to remove excess surface oils of Ultimate polish so have better bond-able surface for Sealant and than applied Sealant and buff out with soft clean Meguiars supreme shine microfiber

D) Finishing wax
now it was noon time so i did my breakfast and lunch togather and give some curing time to sealant, also outside temp was touching 46 c

By 5 pm started wax session, selected Meguiars Hi-tech yellow #26 Paste wax as aim was to give further depth in paint and deep shine. its easy to use wax and applied by hands with provided meguiars foam applicator pad.

E) Black Trims
Cleaned all black trims by meguiars APC plus with 15:1 ratio and than Used Meguiars Ultimate interior detailer with meguiars foam applicator pad , all black trims become deep dark black without any oily touch.

F) Tyers
Used Meguirs Endurance Tyer Gell which made the tyers deep black with good shine

Ahmad bhai one question, if I want to apply sealant than it is must to give APC or IPA wipe after Megs Ultimate Polish?? Because I have noticed that AG SRP is water based polish, havent leave oily layer on surface as compared to Megs UP that leaves some what oily layer on surface.. Kindly do correct me if mistaken...

One more thing thing, can I apply AG SRP over Megs UP or Megs UP over AG SRP or there is no need of it??? If I want to apply AG SRP over Megs UP will it is must to give a IPA or APC wipe???

Faisal bhai I think you can use both but personally I think that one thin even coat, if well massaged, can give better outcomes than UP over SRP. If you still want another coat for even coverage, use the same product.
If you come to think of it, technically, megs UP will remove the layer beneath it and so will AG SRP..

Again im not sure about this but ipa and apc wipes are given after oily procedures like glazing and polishing before using sealant so that all the polishing oils are removed and the sealant can bond properly..

Just my two cents. .
