Here you go:

Vitz 1.0L (1000cc) '05 model:

• Duty: PKR: 3,00,000 with taxes, clearance charges and additional charges.
• Vehicle: $6,800 - $7,500 (With a 4.5A grade auction sheet).

Converting $7,500 into PKR which is around 625,000 - 650,000.

Excluding freight charges aswell.

So, it'll cost you around 950,000. It can be less, if you import a car without a 4.5A auction sheet and transport it in a Ro-Ro.

Price of a '05 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR is around $28,000 - $32,000. Duty on a 2.0L vehicle is around PKR: 15,00,000. Converting $32,000 into PKR: 27,50,000. Adding PKR: 15,00,000 worth of duty, taxes and additonal charges. The total after getting the car cleared is around PKR: 43,00,000 - 45,00,000.

Price's may vary, these are just rough estimate's. They can be increased and decreased in anyway. I apologize if I miss-calculated something.

but i read on pakwheels only that the payable duty for eg. $4000 will depreciate by 1% every month and to a maximum of 50% for a car 50 months old(4 yrs 2mnths) and that depreciation remains 50% for the 5 year old as well...

So importing a 4 year old car will almost save you 50% on the duty... so instead of paying $4000 duty on a car you pay $2000.

may be the government changed this rule. Does anyone know about it?

Well, that is correct. The price's that I have quoted may be lower then the ones that come-up when actually importing a vehicle, you can be right no doubt.
