Discuss old and new car prices after fresh import

First of all i want to make a correction.
The custom duty mentioned here is not updated one. Govt has revised the custom duty + imposed 50% regulatory duty on every import.
Minimum duty on cars is $5500 + 50% RD (Regulatory duty) for 800cc.

Now here comes depreciation which is 1% per month. which will work as
For 1 year old, duty will be less by 12 % + 50 % RD n so on. one can avail max depreciation of 50 % on duty.

This duty includes GST+FED etc, means u have to pay just registration charges nothing else.

well according to my RnD, this decision is made with consensus of GOVT and local car manufacturers as imported car will not cost u less like before and it wud have no affect on local cars.

well i would like to add a very imp point that everyone is missing so far. u can actually import a six years old car because the age of the car will be calculated from after a year of its production. so the car that was produced in 2005 can be imported in 2010 and subsequently in 2011 a car produced in 2006 can be imported. this was told by spoke person of all pak auto association on geo news.
and well does any one know any importer. i am going to italy for two months in january and when i come back i would like to bring a vehicle with me and then put it on sale. so can anyone help me? if yeh plz call me or msg me at 0321-5700646.

What effect this 5 year import facility extended to poor mass of our country....i mean what practical it is being envisaged at your level.....and what types of cars will be in entire benefits for paki user.. Like which cars of honda toyota nissan or any compareable automotive will be cost effective than the cars flying in present enviornments vis-a-vis prices....can some body throw spot light on what m i trying to ask???

Duty on a 1500cc vehicle is: PKR: 730,000/= excluding freight charges.
