taping off the area surrounding the headlights would have ensured against accidental scratching of the paintwork..
nice diy though, oxidized lights just look trash..
now thats great!I see alot of improvement in the visibilitybut I was just wondering,that after this sanding on plastic lensesis their any effect on the plastic?
Sanding effectively rubs away a thin layer of plastic that has the scratches.
Too much sanding can burn a hole through the plastic.

@Trueeye: There wasn't any damage thankyouverymuch. I am a skilled, precision minded, professional... yeah there was a scratch on bumper, actually.
Thankfully it washed off.
I just went out and took this picture a few minutes ago. Doesn't really show anything though... it just looks good
