best after market ones are nissin as shown by OP Nissin....and it depends from where you buy them from....price like as said varies 2- 2500 rup

rear ones wear out extremely slow in this city
and they are for 1000 - 1500 rup (after market good ones )

Hashim bhai is there any way to identify original nissin pads..?? Or any genuine source to get them in lahore..???

the fake ones have thicker/more leather compared to original ones
buy from any reputed shop/or a shop you regularly get your stuff from (dnt know of exact shops/locations in lhr)

Today I got the valve clearance setting and throttle body service done by mechanic.
In the end he didn't lubricate the throttle plate as suggested by ppl here.
You also didn't lube it. How is it going, koi masla wagera to nh hua na?

how many km's has your car clocked ? and which oil do you use in it ?
i am using havoline fully synthetic SN ---idsi clocked 135,000 km's

Hi guys, my idsi 06 is run 57k km and I used in winter castrol magnatec 5w30 and now in summers castrol magnatec 10w40. Both are semi synthetics and are with reasonable price. I do not want to use different grades for seasons, instead use one grade all season long, like 5w40. But there is no brand with this grade in semi synthetics.
The reason of semi synthetics instead of fully synthetics is that:
1. Car is 10 years old and I dont know the wear and tear condition of the engine and its seals. Though 5w30 went good in winters with no issue.
2.My car runs very less, so no benefit of long OCI.
3. They are cheaper.
If I ignore above things then I want to go for 5w40 grade either shell helix ultra or havoline fully synthetic.
Which one is preferable?

My IDSI has clocked 97500 Kms and on last oil change I was using shell HX7 fully synthetic 5W30 blue and now I am using ZIC 10W40.

For tappet settings 600 rs.
For throttle body service with petrol 500 rs.
I should buy a reputed carb cleaner and next ask him to use it instead of petrol.

tell us more about the fuel filter job isn't it a simple job by taking ou the filter from underneath the back seat

Idsi fuel tank is between front seats
Hand brake console area has to b taken out
Once u reach down the whole thing is tightend up with a plastic ring
That plastic ring is huge so no tool can b used
Wrong force will break it
Imo to much plastic involved n its plain stupid design
1st electrician mis aligned fuel gauge n needle stopped near above E....did not reach below to reserve
Got it opened again to fix fuel gauge.
The 2nd idiot misaligned the plastic ring....
So whn i went for fuel top up petrol leaked from top of the tank .
so i had to get the bloody thing fixed 3rd time

First of all what was the need for opening fuel filter. 2nd if there was a need. Then it should have been done by some expert hands and not cheap m.f???k ******** who ruin your car easily.

I have also used shell helix ultra 5w 30. It was really superb and car became really lighter and mileage was increased to great extent. It really tuned the card. I used it after doing throttle body service myself.

one fine day car refused to start up
petrol filter was clogged
and it killed the pump as well
it was done by proper electricians(grown ups not kids)
my bad luck probably

Need to know guys, my car is 10 yrs old, 57k km driven and that so on petrol, accrding to manual fuel filter should ne changed at 40k km.we know the petrol being supplied here.
I dnt have any history of its maintenance.
So should I get it changed ASAP or I can delay a lil to get it done by experts???

fuel filter change is not required until and unless there is problem with it and needs replacement. my city has touched 104k on odo and not changed fuel filter yet. everything is going perfect.

You dont need to do it urgently
But it shld definitely b on ur to do list.
Like i said a bad filter will mk the pump fail eventually.....
Md a friend change filter of his exi dn 100k km....he thankd me whn he found out new pump wld hv cost 20k plus from company.

Yes, there are certain things to be changed with time.
