you will have to remove the stereo n to remove the stereo u will need to remove three dash parts ive shown in this DIY without removing the stereo. after this detailed DIY it shouldnt be such a big problem. there are only 3 screws in all to rermove dash+stereo. for the kenwood see its wiring layout from its manual. it ususally has the remote/external control options. all modern stereos of the popular makes have the option. here in Pak the thiefs at Atlas,suzuki n Indus dont give such features for cost saving. usually the harness isnt provided or the wires are missing. u will need to soulder/ attach the wires n then route them the same way as described in the thread.

They did open this side of the dashboard. I am not sure about the meter side of the dashboard as I wasn't in the car.

Okay so... You have to open the complete dashboard. Even the center console around gear shift knob.

if ur talking about the aux then i believe theres no reason why it shouldnt. All u need to do is google the Model number online and get the wiring diagram. If ur stereo has the option of aux out then u can do so. Similarly for the audio controls the wiring diagram should give u a clear picture whether u can install it or not(most modern players do) then we'll have to see if the clockspring of city has more than two pins coz 1 will be used for the horn n u req addl 2 for the audio controls. If the clockspring isnt having more than 2 pins then we'll have 2 c if the oriel clockspring fits city.if it does then all ur dreams will come True of having audio controls in ur city with the alpine stereo. Btw the 6 CD changer is primarily made by Alpine!

I googled its model number and found another thing instead of its wiring.. Some sites states that this model also has ipod connectivity.. it has confused me.. :(.FS: Alpine CDE-9872 Headunit with iPod Connection Cable - AcuraZine Community

Check the above link. Its the same stereo which comes in honda city.

Now this one is the pre which has same shape same model number but lacks this feature.

But i tried hard to find its wiring diagram.. but no luck. zunny bhai I wanted to ask you can this feature be installed in this player which i have mentioned above?
