DIY Suzuki AGS Actuator Fluid Change

Costed 12k for a can back in 2020.

It costs around 17k these days.

It's either 60,000 or 100,000km in the owners manual.

Rechecked again. 60k interval is for transmission oil.

This book doesn't mention interval for actuator oil. But the Suzuki workshop manual has its drain interval. Try to get your hands on that.

A quick question. Can we use Mibil-1 Dot4 as actuator fluid for suzuki AGS ? I recently flush my Vezel's actuator fluid with mobil1, can i use same for the suzuki AGS. ?

no - the actuator fluid in suzuki is light hydraulic oil - using brake fluid in it will result in an extremely heavy repair bill.

The fluid is already shown in this very thread.

I have never seen anyone using brake fluid in Suzuki AGS nor do I find any recommendation for alternate fluid like in case of Honda

You did a great job, You can discharge all the oil from the unit using OBDII scanner, all the oil will be discharge from the unit and filled the reservoir almost to its brim than you can follow all the steps.

Yes correct but this requires expensive scanner because it's not possible with basic scanner. Not a useful investment for a DIY person.

I changed the Gear oil on my ALTO AGS yesterday and put in 75W oil, the manual said to add 2.4 Litres but when we extracted all the oil, only 2 litres of the old oil came out,
Have I added too much oil?

There is a level check plug. Open that when pouring the gear oil. You will never overfill this way

Was the car on level ground or did mechanic put the front wheels on ramps?

No ramps but the posterior part of the car was a little lower than the front wheels as there was a charhai and then flat ground where the car was supposes to be parked but the car was still at a bit of a tilt

Also bhaijaan, I need to change brake pads of the Alto and as I do high speed driving alot I require good brake pads for emergency situations, have been recommended Akebono but idk how to verify if its genuine, and suzuki brake pads cost more but then dude in workshop said SGP brakes cost 2x but then last 2x as well so it was upto me and said that akebono waghera 20 25k se zyada nahin chalte
Kindly share your thoughts and any recommended workshops or dealers in islamabad

When filling any system that relies on an overflow type check, you need to make sure the unit is perfect straight first.

So how can we extract full 750 ml oil so that the new 400 ml gets mixed into 750 ml oil

You need an expensive scan tool or change the fluid twice. I changed again after 3 months.

I would suggest to install a high quality high temperature neodymium magnet in the reservoir too, it will keep abrasive particles trapped on it.
