Murad bhai, thanks for the information....but I have to say something about the excerpt of your post that is "The pakhtuns after being able to roam the streets"...there are black sheep in every community, cast and creed...so we just can't target one community by singling out their sect/cast/community name....I do believe from the bottom of my heart that you don't mean the entire pakhtun people...yes there are people who just don't have the respect, and they are everywhere....Pakhtun tau bohot he achay, mulinsaar, hospitable, log hotay hain jo apnay mehmano ki hifazat apnay jaan say khel kar kartay hain....I am not pakhtoon, i am urdu speaking from Karachi, but I have interacted with them a lot during my visit to KPK....and i never felt unsecured.....ab tourist season hai tau ap tau jantay he hain k halaaat kia hojatay hain everywhere.

Sir amin. I did not mean to target the whole pakhtun community but a small group within them. There's something different with these people. If you go to any other place like muree or Kashmir (even during the tourist season), the people there are generally more respectful than SOME of the pakhtuns I saw in swat. And its not their fault. It's the fault of Taliban who Locked them up in their house's for a long period and thus in turn these people became frustrated. Suffice is to say that Taliban indirectly destroyed the once beautiful tourist hub of Pakistan . Amin you interacted with the pakthuns of areas living under normal conditions. These pakhtuns, unlike the pakhtuns of swat, donot feel the enjoyment of being released from terror once and for all. The pakhtuns of swat however need to celebrate in all mightiness the peace bestowed upon them by the Pak army, but in the process they ought not forget the respect they once used to give the families that visited the lush green valley pre Taliban reign.

Loofer people can be spotted everywhere,, so its not like the pukhtoons only are making you uncomfortable...you can come across a loofer anywhere in pakistan that can make you uncomfortable,,,
the thing is you have to keep calm tolerate them and ignore all loofer people who tease you or your family...
did you ever visit murree?? there are myriad of such people who makes you and your family uncomfortable..
just be reserve while going to such places with family...
P.S Not only swat...you must not go anywhere on eid holidays....be it murree naran swat nathiagali or GB...

Kushi us waqt manai jati ha jab logo ke peat bharae hua hoon . Jab mulk ki halat itni patli ho ke na bijli milti ho aur na gas aur pani to is main kushi nahi hoti and like before this feeling is all over Pakistan not just kpk. Mulk ke halaat itne patley hein ke millions travelled to far off places on eid days to stay in over priced hotels and eat over priced food. That seems like a contradiction. The trend of tourism is increasing in pakistan, which shows that increasing number of people have spare money to spend. Healthy sign in my view.

i agree and i am a pakhtoon
the thing is pathan do not know the art of staring without getting noticed. same thing is there in punjab but i have never felt uncomfortable over there.In peshawar i do feel uncomfortable as our pathans hail from a society where woman is rarely seen and not easily in reach.

Sir I 100 percent agree with you. Loofer can be spotted anywhere. It was my mistake to chose eid the ocassion to plan a tour. And I'm not a bit frustrated to not had reached kalam, instead I am thankful that I got to no longer live in swat anymore. I headed towards khanspur and nathiagalli as 2 days were still remaining. I observed Change in these areas in comparison to swat. You see these areas were filled with many families already and thus created a family friendly environment. In swat I saw only one or two families from outside kpk and that too at madyan. As for tolerance there is a limit a man can tolerate too. When you sit at White Palace restaurant and every person is starting at your family, I don't think your tolerance can help you keep your call too. It is is to these reasons that I am forced to create these threads. There's a Change, believe or not.

I donot think this positivity is going to thrive in a long run if people of swat do not change their attitude towards the families who only have the eid holidays to spend a day or too in cool. I sincerely believe that future would bring some good.

Haha bro poverty aside, you do not know this feeling unless you have experienced it. You didn't experience a sudden extremism, killing and riots in your neighbourhood. You were not imposed a restriction on cutting of hair and beard. And in termination of these all, you cannot even imagine the pleasure

Mai sirf ye kehna chahunga k Swat ko samjhain k aik new zindagi mili hai....abhi nya nya hai, tau locals zara ghornay walay miltay hain....IN SHA ALLAH, Swat ab bohot he zabardast tourist spot hojaega jis tarha pehlay kabhi hua karta tha....Swat ko thora sa time darkaar hay....logo nay kamrat waghaira jana suru kar dia hai....tau it means k normalization ki taraf ja rahi hain cheezain...

You are right,,,i personally hate swat valley...there is nothing without a river and water...
you made a right decision of visiting nathiagali...
and yes after 2013 galiyat region is fully changed,,,
and Loofers can be spotted anywhere yes its true..just keep yourself reserved....

Ali bhai plz accept my apologies. I am ashamed realy sorry...... I am from swat homestly we cannot go to these area in holidays as you witness this loofers on bikes and pickups.. From all over province and when they start dancing on road side just wanna kill them...... Next time if you decide let me know i will help you and will arramge your visit in swat to a place other can only dream. I am now 40 and visited last year kalam on the insist of my student.
