Make up your mind when you leave your house, be sure of what you want, do your research before entering the market. Shopkeepers will insist you to buy what's giving them the most profit, so it's better to just go to the market and ask for the pair of speakers you desire.

What exactly is your range for the front speakers?

having around 4k-4.5k in mind but can do a +1k anytym if i find sumthing gud

Look for these then:

Sony XS GTX1620S
Kenwood S703P

Both are component speakers, should be Rs.4000-5500 max, these are pretty good budget speakers and later on if you add an amplifier you can use it to power these. Since you'll be upgrading from stock door speakers to this, the difference will be a lot.

If you can afford the Pioneer TS-D1720C, then go for those without thinking twice, if anyone says they're too bright or too sharp, that's false, you can always tune them. I'm running the D1720C and they perform real well. Mid bass is better than the other three you've mentioned above but yeah if you compare them to Focal series then yes of course they lack mid bass, point is, Pioneer D1720C serve best in their class.

Powering the components through the HU will be a waste of money, components are meant to be used with amplifiers so better invest in a quality 4ch amp or just a 2ch amp and power your rears via the HU.

Listen both of them and take the one u like the most....

all speaker sounds different, see which one suits your taste and the genre which you listen....

oh D1720C will be a bit pricey then, new one's cost around 9500. You can look for some used clean pieces, post an ad for components in the buyers/sellers section and I'm sure you'll find something here.

Otherwise just go for the sony one's, they're actually pretty decent.

i dont like paper cones :S they wear out easily... my rear speakers have kevlar and they have suffered heat and what not for the last 5 years and still are awesome!

the original door speakers are usually crap or get easily damaged over time. most of the factory fitted speakers are of paper cone with a tiny magnet at the back; not good at all for decent listening. try component speakers from pioneer or sony in the front door and u will love them.

u can go to audio market and ask for original speakers. they have them sometimes. chances are they'll ask u 1-1.5k for em

these are surely value for money but if uve got someting between 10-11k to spend fusion nv65 is a decent option

@jz: eik do hazaar ker k barhtay he ja rahay hain pretty soon we'll be talking about PS 165... heh... i dont want to spend a lot on the comps at the moment... have tons to do on the car otherwise. i think i will stick to a 6K budget for now and upgrade later.

i just realized i've become a thread-jacker of sorts! sorry adilfarid... but what everyone here is trying to say is that it is much better to get component speakers for the front rather than OEM speakers... OEMs are simply okay and get the job done if u cant afford to shell out cash.

A step up from OEMs is 2-way speakers that will cost you roughly 2K or maybe more for a low to mid quality set.

If you can afford to shell out 4.5k - 6k then u should look at component speakers and try out some of the models talked about on your thread here. I am currently running OEM speakers and in my opinion you wont be too happy with them if you're even a little serious about sound quality.

so dig in to your pockets and get a good set of component speakers.

what would the sony's cost roughly? i've found kevlar cone speakers to produce rich bass. i wont pretend to know much about audio systems cuz i dont, but having read reviews of all sorts, maybe the fiber composites perform just as well. waisay i m not a bass-head (i would love to have a hardcore SQ setup some day) but i prefer my speakers to be able to maintain the intended quality of music.

Yeah I've heard them, surprisingly good for the buck, sony hasn't had a very good reputation in car audio lately but this pair of components sure is worth it.
