Assalam o alaikom
I own 2005 vti oriel prosmatic & is equipped currently with Dunlop Sp sport LM 703 205/65/R15 tyres. Actually I want to ask experts that whether this tire size has any impact on suspension or steering part?? Any wear tear of the same??

I m concerned because oem tire was Dunlop sport 300 with 185/65/R15 specs.. so if there is any chance of hurting suspension or steering part then I shall switch to oem size

Secondly, if I needed to change tyres though current ones are brand new so which tyre should I go for???
1. Dunlop sport 300 (oem)
2. Continental comfi contact
3. Michelin energy saver/energy xm2

I m concerned about following
1. Suspension/steering parts friendly
2. Quiet tyre
3. Wet & dry grip
4. Fuel efficient (car is on petrol, no cng)

So, are the current ones good enough not to hurt suspension/steering parts or shall I replace them???? Plz experts shed some light with facts..

yes this tire size is noticeably higher profile than stock, it will put load on steering as well as suspension parts such as cv joints, and under heavy load tires may rub against fender it would be better to change though there should not be much harm in driving this way but i would recomand replacing, oem size is bit small, i think 195/65 r 15 is a much better size which will provide good grip and ground clearance,
out of the three tyre brand you mentioned i would reccomand continental comfy contact, the one i would not most certainly reccomand is michilleln energy xm2, i am using these my self in corolla, they are very average tires, and because of low rolling resistance i myself have experienced poor breaking and also bad handling with flexing side walls, though otherwise its very comfortable and okay, for your mentioned requirements i would reccomand Yokohoma Advan DB it has all the traits you need and and just make sure whatever tire you get its fresh and not smuggled!

Thanx bro... ok I'll go for continental.. german technology is superior to all. N bro I m in khi so how much a continental tyre would cost?

i think you should be able to get it around 10000rs per tyre or less in lahore but thats a very rough estimate maybe it would be cheaper in karachi, and make sure even in continental you don't end up with their energy saver or low rolling resistance tyre series if you value handling and braking safety, try shops around khalid bin waleed road or zamzama

Brother 195 65 R 15 is an ideal size for ur car.
Brand I would suggest Michelin xm2 made in UK.

Brother 205 is to wide for the car but if u want that width than 205 60 r 15 is the size

Brother no harm in using this size untill u drive on good roads and take care of speed breakers.

If u drive roughly then surely it will harm the shocks and CV.

M very confused.. because these dunlop sp sport lm 703's are very good tires. I was only worried about damaging suspension/ steering parts. . If they dont do so, then m not going to change them.. they are quiet tires and really comfortable

if you are comfortable with the drive and being in karachi it will mostly be driven in city and not on long routes then stick with your tyres, the loss you will incur selling these and then getting new ones will be same as repairing something in suspension if god forbid it goes wrong and anyway its not a very serious problem affecting the suspension, so if you like the drive then stick with them

Bro no need to change.

Just drive with care with full load in car or when on bumpy roads.
