Dunlop tyre issue in cultus

guys i need ur help.i own a cultus 2006 and few days back i changed its tyres from falken 175/70/r13 to dunlop sp70i 175/70/r13.the problem is that car woobles.i got the wheel balancing done twice and didnt had any suspension work done.i was going to buy yoko a drive sumhow,i dont knw how i got dunlop sp70i.most of the tyre walla's was recomending me to put these tyres as they are of polyster made and yoko a drive isnt.they have got a warranty of 2 years or 1lack kilometer and yoko doesnt comes with warranty.now i want you people to help me out in this regard.should i change the tyres to yokos(if the tyres are not good enough or have bad repute)?i was not in a mood of getting dunlops but my bad that i was not able to find any tyre of bridgestone,yoko db.yoko aspec in the required tyre size,so i have to buy this dunlop sp70i.pls help me.i dont want my car to wooble/vibrate.waiting for yr replies

This isnt the issue with tyres!! check balancing and alignment of your car!! Also if you have Alloys installed, please check its spin!! In local terms they call it "Rims tairhay hain!". If they are, you need to get them repaired or buy new one! Check your air pressure from electronic guage. You have to check the air pressure on daily basis for 2-3 days, whenever u change the rubber!!

To my knowledge, imported tyres have NO warranty!! Nexen and the good year are the only brands which give warranty. As most of the imported tyres are not imported legally, they are of smuggled lots.

Dunlop has the reputation worldwide and are considered equally good to Yokohama!! Im using both on my ride(s) and satisfied with them!!

Personly the best dunlop experience to was Dunlop sp sport 490s.

Other then that to me Dunlop is just another brand. Pricy because its imported, Generals have better punture protection then Dunlops.

and Cultuses OEM size is 155-80r13 So ure also using a bigger tire,

But as their was no isue using previus tires consult your tire dealer if ur not satisfied tell him to claim the warranty/gurantee and replace with yokos.

brother i totally agree with you but i had used the same size tyre for four years and no problem at all.as i told u before also that i bought that car brand new back in 2006 and changed the tyres and rims the very next day.

bahi agar rim tarre hote to us ko falken tyres per bhi vibrate karna chahye tha.plus im too cary abt my cars and i used to take optimum care of it.so alignment is not out,balancing has been done twice.once from saif traders(from whom i bought these tyres) and secondly from another tyre wala.so i dont thnk so the problem lies in alignment or balancing.

Does it happen on high speeds?

Are u sure all 4 tires vibrate, or happens from a particular side/tire/?

Does it happen only on braking at high speeds?

i have the same tyre size in my KIA claasic, the first day i changed them, i had wobbling at around 90KM/h although they were balanced, but still and i knew that the problem is due to the balancing. i live in taxila and know a balancing guy here who has brand new balancing and alignment machines. took the car to him the next day, as i suspected , all tyres needed balancing again.. after that, my car is fine , checked it on high speeds, no issues, apart from that, tyres are very good, soft and good grip. so what i would suggest is check the balancing again from a different shop, most of the time the balancing machines are out of calibration , so acording to the machine your tyres would be balanced but in reality they would'nt be.. hope you understand what am trying to say..

thanks for sharing ur expirence.

yesterday i got air pressure cheked in all the tyres and got them adjusted to 28psi in front tyres and 30psi in rear tyres but the problem has increased now.it has not started to wooble more then it used to do.tyre pressure were like in two tyres it was 35psi and in one tyre it was 40 psi so i got them adjusted to above mentioned figure.plus my stearing got dam hard now.help me guys

tell me one more thing.as u all know i have been using these alloys from 2006 and now i changed the tyres so after putting new tyres in old rims does require balancing?coz main ne suna hai ke new tyres and rims doesnt require balancing.but the rims are old in my case and the shopkeeper told me that ke ye rim tarre nahi hote means they are as good as new.so new tyres and new rims ho gaye..............phr bhi balancing require hai?i was thinking to do a diy and to remove all the weights and then chek.wht u guys say

the tires maybe disbalanced not the rims, check the production date if its more then 3 years then you have a real problem, same thing happened to me a few years back.

Haroon, i think no prob with the rims. The prob is with tyres. You have bought tyres from a wrong place which has bad reputation. (2 No. maal)
So check ur car with another set of tyers and u will find the answer.

sp70i is a low-end dunlop tyre with low speed rating as compared to sp 490 and the LM series...u shudve definitely gone for A drives, which are i guess one of the best-buy tyres out there in the market

yaar the production date is at the end of 2009.the yokos were having production date of mid 2009 so this was the basic reason of droping those tyres.

thanks for the reply.before these tyres my car was perfectly fine.now i have driven my car more then 500km on these tyres and they have gone good now.now they only whobble on 80km/h and above 110km/hr.the grip is good,the car doesnt hit in the bumps,they produce very less sound.

after a week of purchasing these tyres i went to a tyre shop in defense and asked ab the repute of this tyre.he said the tyre is good and is compareable to yokos.so i bought him next to my car and said that i want to sale these tyres.its brand new.he asked me the reason and i told that i want yokos.the next step he did approximately killed me.i bought these tyre for 4400rs per tyre and said that he will take this tyre back in 3000rs per tyre.he said pay me extra 6000rs and get yokos a drive.i was like.................khair then i dropped the idea of changing tyres and these tyres are now going good.dont know how they got ok but they are going good now.
another thing i noticed was the tyre pressure in the tyres were tooo much.it was like 40psi in one tyre.so got them adjusted to 30psi

guys im facing the same problem.got them balanced thrice and still it wooble on 30kmph and on 70kmph.so i went again to saif traders and told him that these tyres are giving me hell of trouble.he balanced it for me.i asked him that i wanted to change them and which one should i go for.he suggested me to go for nexen(same size).he would take these dunlop sp70i back and i have to pay him 2000rs for those nexen.now i want ur opinion.should i do that coz im not atall happy with these dunlop sp70i.before these tyres i was using falkan and they were really very good.

tell me the repute of nexen tyre...should i go for it?...he was saying that it is very soft and is compareable to yoko aspec.....are nexen rotational tyre?
i have to decide it by night as this exchange offer is valid till tomorrow.
