dublicate book kab bunti hai jab aap ke laparwaiye ya kesey or wajha say book miss hoi ho...jab k file civic center may say miss place hoti hai jiss may owner ke koi galti nahi hoti civic center waloon ke laparwaiye hoti hai ..unke laparwaiye ke saza mainay bhookti hai dublicate file ke car k uper 40 thousand ka lost uthaya hai

this is a very big issue...some ppl dont think it is

Mashallah...our police system of record is so bad that u cant belive

if a car gets stolen...every thana will be updated...but if it gets recovered..the owner has to do the most of the part

so never buy a car which was stolen and then recovered and it is not yet fully been cancelled out from all records

and duplicate papers do effect

bhai jaan duplicate book or duplicate file mai buhat fark hai.duplicate book car driver/owner kaye pass hoti hai or duplicate file registeration office mai.So whenever u buy a car do check if the record in registeration office is original or not.duplicate copy doesn't matter.

I agree with @levin. It is a ploy used by dealers as a bargaining chip. Unfortunately, our people have been fed by the same dealers with the 'genuine' mentality and they can't seem to get over it.

Genuine paint, genuine book, genuine engine and the list goes on.

tell me about it....i bought a Mira Islamabad reg...have lost the 'book' which was really a piece of A4 paper....misplaced it during a shifting...now have put it on sale with reduced demand keeping in view the paranoia that surrounds the issue..but i feel ppl just cant go past the issue....to be fair to all, i myself would have this in mind if i would go for a duplicate-book car ....thats how public opinion works

I suggest not to buy duplicate registration book vehicle. Its very hard to sell it later on.
The major reason for vehicle being devalue is : ,if ur car origional papers went to wrong hand the can use it on a stolen car easily. Like he will buy a stolen vehical of same color and temper the chassis num of stolen vehicle to the one mentioned on book.
At some point he may attempt the robbery/accident and someone note down the number. It might be possible u ll get into trouble. And u know pakis system they will consider u as culprit.
Or he can sell the vehicle in market, even then it will be problem for u.

I think this duplicate book, file, numberplate issue has to be resolved these are dealer arguments and pakwheels must launch awareness campaign about this
Now a days excise department is computerised all the detail of vehicle are shown in 1 click so this has to be end

Indeed there is NO DISADVANTAGE in having a duplicate book / duplicate registration plates, duplicate(s) are issued after due process.

The myth is a just a myth created by hardcore cheater car dealers, scammers.
