YOu can easily get new ones from reg office, or just contact any agent sitting out there in the office and he will do the rest of the job and will get you brand new plates. THora kharcha pani lagana pary ga

i bought a new car i park it in the open street. i heard that the number .plates are occasinally stolen. i want to put custom made plates on my car. would i have to get permission for it and from where and whom?

at corner of preedy police station near Tibet centre MASTERs are making duplicates for your new plates, but it is a COP magnet -

to protect number plate use set of NUT BOLT Cotter pin -do not use only BOLT on the plates to fix plates over the rear trunk & front bumper

is islamabad its easy.. cost is 500 rupees. you write an application submit it in eto i think.. and takes 3 weeks
or give an agent 3k rupees he wil lget it done and will get plates delivered to your house

One lack is obviusly exagurated, But its like ur geting 2 cars same condition same model same color, One has duplicate plates, You just get a chance to negotiate the price.

I belive the car should be mechanicaly fit, Rest things can be done, Since with everyowner change new books are issued, new plates should also be issued, canceling old registration (thats just my opinion)

Guys , one year before i bought a car from dealer , but he didnt gave me the genuine plates , now some one told me that you should ask for genuine number plates from him but dealer said sale me you car back if you want to sale it otherwise i dnt have your number plates it is not my mistake you should responsible when you bought car . now i want genuine like number plates so i can sale my car outside in gud price.

Original number plates scheme in Pakistan is really a headache for the car owner. In my opinion, they should be finished and everyone get their own plates like in the UK. There should just be a standard size and pattern and material. Stealing of original plates or replacement after fender benders would be eliminated. And if the police claim it will increase thefts, then they should be asked as to how can original plates reduce thefts? Cars are still being stolen or used for terrorist activities despite original plates. Its the law enforcers who are ineffective and not the original plates.

I never put original plates in my province (khyber pukhtoon khwa) even in Islamabad. Don't worry present ur self in a smart way to the police or custom officials

You are right its a headache. In fact there should be no Number Plate Requirement in Pakistan.

Yes duplicate number plates can be obtained from the registration authorities but it is a very, very hectic and time consuming task. I got mine in approximately 8 months from civic centre, karachi...and that too after spending around 5k on chai pani.
And yes, the value of the car definitely decrease. When u go to sell the car, a duplicate number plate usually translates to something fishy with the car like maybe it was stolen or something... and then they complain about the cops stopping them routinely... however when u get the duplicate plates from the authorities, the cops can't charge u with anything and u are good to go

but in islamabad system is different as compare to cplc Karachi, here no system like cplc sound then clear, hear only clear is clear, n isb number cars no return file system, in khi we have to attach fir copy in return file, so as hash4u say no stamp on book & num plate, then how cars price go down?,,, n i tell you one think about isb once i bought khi-duplicate num plate car, bought for 355 n sold for 385 in 3-4 for days through PW, at that time i dont know duplicate plats reduce the price of car n 6-7 ppl come to visit the car n no one ask me its duplicate num plate so cut down the price, n car sold, after few days i see a add "car origional condition main hai, bus num plate duplicate hai is wja se pasy kam hen" then i search a lot on it n find duplicate plats reduce the price of car50-100k, then never ever i bought duplicate plate car, n in khi cplc sound car also reduce the resale, but here 80% ppl dont know about cplc
