Honda CD 100 is the best product Atlas Honda has to offer after Deluxe.I would not be wise comparing it with the likes of CD 70..Honda CD 100 is a reliable proven engine researched by Honda motor Co. Japan..It was the best commuter bike sold in india (Hero Honda Splendor) since 2006 with sales over 1million units/year.Its frame is tubular double cradle which you can see in quadruple of bikes internationaly.it is more common than Yamha's idk which type frame(Maybe single spine with an engine rest,i really cant have an idea).The pre 2010 models were based on metallography same as yours..I have seen 2006/2007 models there were same like yours..The new material i have to contact AHL engineers inmy view as i am a Materials Engineer myself,,is particularly die cast aluminium but with inculsions modifying its properties and improving heat dissipation..I will try to get the ASTM configuration of the material being fabricated but i consider it better than the previous metallic configuration.
I repeat CD 100 is not A Cd 70..It can be easily observed which one is stuffed and which one is fitted in the above pics if you can encourage the bikes make/aesthetics.Its comfort is priceless.
