Some more closeups I don't get it Toyota was less demaged but lancer was damaged and bounced across the road where as Toyota just rotated. Can it be said that Toyota despite of soft iron is better at safety than hard metal proably more weight lancer. Btw this ricer.....

That Nissan is very old and safety , the cabins of both cars look fine so both did a well job!

Valencia guys are crazy. They have closed one side of the road and other side is two way now. Its very very dangerous path. I hope passengers are safe. Bad crash though.
Very true, they have closed that side for no apparent reason and this road has now became very dangerous
Lancer probably bounced off due to direct impact on the tyre. You can see the wheels shifting backwards to the pillar and bending it. Newer cars off course do have updated crash protection design. I think corolla does have a large impact beam on the front.
corolla has done rather well in this particular crash. The cabin seems intact to me, the same could not be said of the lancer.
