Effect of "defaced" written on invoice in return file?

The return file of a car consists of only few pages (around 20 that are transfer deeds and cnic's of previous owners and one/two other pages, i think one is Invoice but there is a word written "Defaced" on the invoice only, nothing and not on any other page).
Please explain the meaning and effect of this.
Also tell me what are the mandatory documents in return file?
Can there be a file without the cover (i mean only in pages)

file is a general term so it can be without cover dont worry about it.
now are there any check boxes infront or after the defect word? on the invoice.
the defect word is preprinted or stamped or hand written?

Its a stamped word "DEFACED", i think no checkboxes. what are they for?
Also is "invoice" and "delivery receipt" different as i couldnt find the second one also??

but almost on all pages, there is a single cross line by red ballpoint. is that normal..

better go to nearest ETO and get the file checked before its too late.
some thing seems fishy, i dont wanna comment at this point of time i may bee wrong. but tomorrow morning first thing do get the file checked.

same was written on my car's file and i got it checked.. they said its normal when a car is cleared from a bank on lease...

you mean it was written on your "sales certificate" only or all pages?
But i dont see any bank documents in the owners record in the file?

Boys the "DEFACED" stamp is applied on the car file/documents at the time of registration by the respective office/authority. This is to control the reuse of those documents. So that the car file/documents cannot be used again for registration. It's completely normal.
