Electric Power Steering in 2.0D Saloon 2004

usually, speed sensor, rpm are the only inputs to the ECU of EPS, its a doable project. no problem at all. The unit has its own circuitry installed on it. This EPS is so damn rugged that I have hardly seen any in a jammed state. The thing is that the motor assist adjusts itself after judging the speed of the car. It will be hard / less sensitive at 100km/h and more sensitive at 30km/hr which it does so after taking in the inputs from rpm and VSS

How to give speed input to the ECU of the EPS?And any idea if somebody has already done this in past?

wire splice it in from the VSS wire going to the ECU

You have to change the steering rack (kanghi) as well. The EPS installation will not be as simple as alto or cultus.

How does this EPS mechanism looks like?

Is the motor mounted on the steering column? or on the R&P itself?

The cluster gives out a VSS signal - use that.
