Electronic Fuel Pump Problem

Assalamoalikum all members as the title says i own a mehran 96 model in excellent recently the car was totally rebuilt engine body etc etc is like new and performing good since 7 month the problem is that 4 days ago suddenly its fuel pump stopped working went to mechanic he said pump is not working also it was hot he replaced it with another electric fuel pump and car started now after 3 days i was going to market the car stopped again i checked the pump it was hot then again went to mechanic he said replace it with original one as far as i know the original one is mechanical so my question is that what could be the prob the fuel lines or pump also the fuel line is direct no fuel filter is installed a/c to mechanic.

you have to use mechanical fuel pump......if it malfunctions......then this is camshaft lobe issue......so for that either the best way is to make a hole in the fuel tank and install alto carby or cultus carby fuel pump......or the most simple way is to install fuel pump in some cool area ....not in engine bay..

yup but for that u have to do alteration in tank to place that fuel pump to pump so it works nice and cool.

Thanks brother but I heard somewhere that kabli electronic fuel pump of some other car also works how about that?

kabli ones are usually efi cars which operate at pressures of 35-55 psi whereas carby one operate at mere 4-5 psi so high pressure fuel pump will destroy ur float and cause rich running problems.

umm u can also install china electronic pump in some cool area......bdw why dont u install mechanical one its cheap....

Bro I have zero knowledge about cars and electronic one can be easily installed thats why trying so hard to find some good pump

mechanical one also dont need any difficult job and was originally installed in that car and is easily available.

but if mechanic says about camshaft related issues then u have to use elctronic one.....and u can use simple china one inside the cabin.

Replaced the electronic one with mechanical and its working fine he installed some kind of solenoid with the petrol line said 'ye petrol rokta hy' I didnt understand what he said

he has installed FPR(fuel pressure regulator)....no need of this with original mechanical pump IMO......it will put stress on pump.....FPR is used on electronic pumps....if he had used filter then its fine..

It is not FPR it will be fuel return line solenoid which takes petrol back to tank. FPR cannot be fitted on these.

then its not needed because return liine is present on carby of mehran.
