I would not suggest using guard filters they are very poor quality filters. IMO Vic or Leppon filters are better suited as the engine oil is the lifeblood of your vehicle. So no compromise on oil filters!
I used the Shell Helix HX7 5W-30 synthetic technology oil. It is not fully synthetic so you will not have to worry about that as well. 10W-30 is also fine.
Thankyou for your input mate. One more thing, can I use this ATF in my exi prosmatec 2004? As I heard that honda transmissions are picky and the ECU will act strange if I use any other ATF apart from Hondas ATF.
You will have to check your owners manual. As long as it is the recommended type of fluid you should be fine. Any other senior member would be able to guide you better in this regards. Since I have not owned any automatic Civic just the standard manual transmission Civic.

I m using zic ATF in my exi 2003 on someones recommendation. Got it changed in 2015 and still running smooth Alhamdulillah with around 40k on it till now. Still let others guide u on this as i havnt tried aisin so cant comment on it
Can you attach a picture of the atf you used? It will be very helpful for me. The last thing I want is to put the wrong atf in my car and have it die down on my family.

For Honda transmissions be it auto or manual and Power Steerings always use Honda Genuine MTF/ATF and Honda Genuine PSF.
