Engine Oil for Honda City 2012?

I used caltex havoline synthetic for almost 1.5 yrs in civic 1.8. The performance was good, rebron being less fuel efficient was giving 9-10 within city, and I would change it every 6-7000kms or every 5 months. I was recently advised not to use this oil, I have reverted to the dealership oil which I feel is equally good. Reliability is of essence, I would still recommend company lubricants as you can always hold them responsible.

well i recently bought a honda city mt ,the first oil i changed is zicA+ perfomance is fine but the mechenic poured all 4 ltr oil in engine
i insisted 3.7 ltrz but he said "city mei 4 ltr hi dalta hai ji" is it all right,..,,????

read on ur honda city owner manual about how much liters it goes.....if u pour more the engine get more heavy thus more fuel consumption plus it can get leak too....best time is to check in the morning by oil dipstick if its less then pour the remaining oil if not leave it

Stick to Genuine Honda fully synthetic oil and change it after 4k with oil filter. Your car is new and use of any other oil will void the warranty. You can always hold Honda people responsible If anything goes wrong(God forbid).

I have city 2011.Manual ..60K driven ...
Using honda's Genuine oil 10W-30 ,Chevron PK caltex is written on the opening seal of bottle ..... so i am thinking ,for next oil change , i am going to F-6 caltex petrol pump , for their similar Caltex 10W-30 Oil.....

Q1- should i do it ?
Q2- Is non -syn -Mineral oil that i am using 10W-30 is suitable for my car , as owner manual and honda's oil changing guy says it is quite ok...

As the car is new (late 2013 model), then WHY Honda's genuine fully synthetic 5/30 is "SM grade" ? (re-packed by total)
SM grade is good for 2011 or older engines (2010, 2009 ... 2004). So technically they should use recommend SN grade oil for their new models. But who bothers to know this truth?

I have been using hondas since 2002. Behtareen kam kertay hain aur never had any issue with any of cars.

Pehlay 2002 aur aub 2009 civic hai.

Only maintained by honda n I love their work.

They do have an SN grade oil. I think it is 5-30.

Oil filter honda ka ho to it has 10000kms life. Oil has 5000kms life.

I would recommend you use oil for 3000 or 3500kms max. Oil filter aik dafa chor ker agli dafa badalwao.

Kasmay I had 2002 aur 2009 main 175000 chalnay kai baad bee fit thee.

My local mechanic has total dealership but I dont buy from him cuz I dont trust him that much.

His bro had city mouse shape aur uss nai with cng. 275000kms chalanay kai baad apni city ka engine badalwaya. He used total oil.

They change oil as well. They also have a vast range of oil filters. Mann, VIC, OEM, Leppon, etc.

Honda guys change the oil on 5000 and filter on 10000 is it good for idsi 06 engine?
