after 260,000 km loss of oil at 5000 is nothing unusual so nothing to worry, use oil grade 10W-40. do not get trapped by CHAY Class ustaad saying engine weak swap with assembly.

if & when vehicle start to smoke at throttling go for compression test that will ascertain if valves are leaky or rings are coming to end of life.

Engine works fine, there is no smoke but a slight drop in oil level at 4000 km. I had 5w weight engine oil. Gonna use a 10w in a next one. I use to change oil every 4000 km. Someone told me to use Kixx engine oil. It South Korean made same as ZIC but are imported directly from Korea while ZIC quality have been compromised and there are fake ZIC oil in market as well. So I am confused about the brand I should use. and Engine is 1.8, Its an X premio.

No difference. All z series engines with high mileage consume around 300ml of oil till 4000kms. 1zzfe is similar.

Bro, small engine oil consumption is considered as normal for Toyota engines, and this small engine oil consumption is also mentioned in the owners / users manuals of Toyota vehicles.

which grade and weight engine oil do you use for Premio 2002?

As per https://www.engine-specs.net/toyota/1zz-fe.html and http://mywikimotors.com/toyota-1zz/ , the recommended engine oil grades for 1ZZ-FE are 5w-30 and 10w-30.

Based on your car's model year and mileage, I would suggest 10w-30 from some reputed brand, and oil must be 100% genuine and original.

Thanks for the suggestions brother. I have put on a Havolin synthetic blend 10w-40 imported. As 2 of friends are using that, saying it's recommend for older cars with mileage more than 100k, and after researching on internet many websites recommended the same. I hope it works and about slight drop in oil gauge, I have been told by everyone that it's normal for Japanese cars.

I didn't got 10w-30 but got Synthetic Blend 10w-40 of Chevron. Hope it works fine.

Hmmm... Well... Its a good option, but its blend (in my understanding, its not fully synthetic).

I always try to recommend fully synthetic oils (since to me, they are better than semi-synthetics / synthetic blends / mineral oils, etc.), however, in case of 10w-30 by Caltex Chevron; its an exception, because as per my knowledge, 10w-30 is only offered by Caltex Chevron in local & reputed brands, and its a mineral oil.

If opting for 10w-40, wouldn't 10w-40 by ZIC be a good option? Its fully synthetic (instead of semi-synthetic / synthetic blends, etc.), and meets the latest API SN criteria. Bro not each and every grade of engine oil by ZIC is packed / packaged or blended here.

Some are packed / blended here locally, and some are fully imported from Korea, in packed & sealed bottles, e.g. ZIC A+ 5w-20 (3L bottles, in a carton / pack of 06 bottles each. I can not say this for other packings, however for 3L packing, it is confirm, as I have myself witnessed it. For confirmation, you can have a look at the pics in following post:

Coming towards engine oil, well, I have said that I will trade ZIC A+ 5w-20 which I already had, and go for 0w-20. One of my colleagues in office bought all the ZIC A+ 5w-20 from me, and I was free to look for options in 0w-20. Again this past weekend, I visited Pakistan Oil Store and Butt Brothers in Badami Bagh, Lahore, and guess what? Both did not have 0w-20 in 1L and 3L packing! They both had 0w-20 in 4L packing only, and I was not comfortable with that. If you buy oil from these 2 shops…

ZIC A+ 5w-20 is fully packed / packaged and blended in Korea, i.e. it is completely "Made in Korea".

You can yourself check for other grades.

Well I am from Dera Ismail Khan, we don't have many official distributors over here except for ZIC and Havoline which I have confirmed from there head offices.

Kixx PAO C3 5W40 would be a better option. It burns less. Also put coolant if there is plain water in your radiator, your engine will perform better.

zic x7 10w-40 company price is 4000, when someone sells that with a difference of more than 500... stay away from that place. have seen same oil selling for 3200 because we are special dealer!

Not true always!

Big dealers have huge profit margins, and some dealers, like Pakistan oil store in Badami Bagh Lahore, transfer much of their profit margins to the customer / end user, so, not every oil or ZIC Oil is fake! (you can check my posts in my main thread regarding Vitz 2015)

I know there is a huge difference, but still, some big oil dealers can manage to give max. discounts.

Regarding X7 10w-40, you can directly call them at 042-37705060 and get quote / price for the oil.
