pleasebecareful. most of the stollen cars are disassembled at kpk and parts are sold at peshawar. no more scrap containers are going to afgahistan as used to be in past. if you get a stolen engine fixed in your car whole car becomes stolen.

Brother you have wrong information. In fact most of the stolen cars are disassembled near its locality and this all is done under the consent of police and car stealing mafia of the area. Recentally such an area was discovered near Rawalpindi.
All scrap and non-scrap containers still to date are going to Afghanistan and from there these engines and all other goods are smuggled inside Pakistan. This is because you can not import engines through normal procedures in Pakistan and moreover here the duties are too much high as compared to Afghanistan.
Engine produced inside Pakistan bears completely unique patern of numbering scheme so they can easily be identified as it normally starts with the letters PKXXXXXX and if by chance you get an engine which is stolen and it is other than Pakistani origin then still there is nothing to worry as very few of us register these swapped engines in car documents. So there is always very little chance to know about the history of these imported engines.

i have also got rd28 eti in my 2001 Nissan patrol.i think it is very difficult to find Good rd28 engine these days.i am planning to go to shoba this sunday for Toyota 2uzfe purchase and for swap in my Nissan.trying to contact karakoram for his help in the purchase.

I ll check td42 for u in shoba.my engine is in perfect condition,never opened but its electronic diesel pump has failed and i am unable to find it here in pakistan.
actually i like 2uzfe more but if i ll get new pump then i wont swap the engine.i am trying to get the pump from Dubai these days.What is the model of ur Nissan.if u have got electronic pump in ur machine then i ll try to find some good td42 for u.

No error codes but difficult to start the engine each time.i have to give 5-6 heaters each time to start the engine.i got it checked from 2-3 mechanics and they all told me its diesel pump fault and since its electronic it cant be opened or repaired and so only option is to get a new or used one from Dubai.new one is too costly and so i ll look for used one.2nd option is always there to swap the engine because my rd28 has already done 150,000/ km.so it is not a wise decision to invest further on this engine.any valuable suggestions from ur side,u can mail me at toofanfun@yahoo.com
