I was just wondering in the whole of Pakistan is there not a single legal Race track/Drag strip? It sounds like a very good idea and would defiantly be interested in looking into this as a project with someone. I think a race track will be a big project but a drag strip could be more viable.
Just some questions:
How large do you think the demand for something like this would be (drag strip)?
Where do you think the best location would be?
How much do you think people will be willing to pay for a single run?
What do you think the authorities/government will think about it?
About setting up costs:
Timing equipment will not be a problem as I can get this from Japan, but land for the strip will be an issue.
Will it be possible to negotiate with the local authorities for example in Lahore to shut a piece of road in the evening for a few hours or is there no chance of this? Does anyone have any contacts in the government?
What are people thoughts and general suggestions on this idea; any input will be appreciated as it sounds like an interesting project.
