@hassan btw bro what about the power steering pump,isnt it necessary ??? cz baki garyo main to hota hai.but am not sure about alto.n if there's a hydrolic pump fir power steering then the warrnty is recked for sure cz this means u modified the factory car .

'Electronic' PS does not have any hyrdaulic pump/fluid, its driven by a mechanical motor

r u sure the it was 3400km? or 34000 km? when did he get it done? any problem he faced after that ? also could u tell me the name of the shop from which he buy it

yes dude his ride was only 3400 km driven . he did not face any problem so far (drove arnd 500km)and is rather enjoying it alot . im pretty sure he got it done from somewhere in bilal gunj lhr

Brother the wiring was completed in 5 minutes, :).. Only one wire from the distributor is to be given to the ECU of EPS to sense the speed and provide the power assistance accordingly, and one wire is given to power up the EPS when the car is started... No complexities involved.. Hope your big question is solved

Sir jee its electric power steering not hydraulic power steering.. No pumps, no belts not alteration in the engine mounts and brackets...Sirf aik motor lagti hey sir steering column k sath.. Alto itni choti gari hey is per hydraulic steering laga diya to chalne se awazaar ho jaye gi

I have a 2003 registered alto in 2002 shape. The car is driven 150k km. It is still in great mechanical condition. Engine is awesome. Suspension requires some work. I was thinking to sell it but looking at the prices these days i will not be able to buy such a robust car without putting in atleast another 400k . Besides this is my office car and i use it all week long in rough conditions. I like the AC and mileage is also good. Anyways so i was thinking to make some modifications like installing EPS, Power Windows,Mirrors etc. Was also thinking to upgrade the front light and bumper to give it a facelift. The car is usually parked all day at the beach (thats where my office is in khi) so it requires some body work and it is the reason why i dont want to take my city to work. So just looking to add some excitement in the vehicle. Would appreciate if someone could guide me on how to get these things installed in Karachi and an approximate costs. Would really appreciate. Thanks!!!

whats ur opinion, its normal? or there may be some fault in it. because according to you it will becomes hard after a speed of 60km/r or above?

Get the wire which goes to the distributor adjusted. Since alto does not have an ECU which is required by EPS. Go to a good electrician.

It is not a problem.
If the EPS is correctly wired it starts becoming hard as you cross 20 km/h.
This means that your EPS is correctly wired, so no worries at all.

Secondly, Hassan said that above 60km/h the steering becomes hard and stiff.It can't be turned that much easily whereas when at the speed of 30km/h you can feel the difference in hardness with the hardness you feel while driving above 60km/h.

you only need to feed a few inputs, speed signal from the gauges, rpm signal from the ignition coil and ignition switch and ground, you should also wire up the VSS error light to the dashboard., usually a cause like this is different than normal vehicle speed signal.

Contact Imran electrician at plaza. 0300 2484770. He fitted one in my mamoo's alto. He had done good work. Don't forget to ask him to wire rpm wire and speed sensor wire.

I have installed EPS in my Alto, Alhamdulillah working perfect.
Regarding your questions:
Go for it if you have want a smoooooth and soft steering feel.

No problem at all like loosing control at high speeds even with the stock 145/80/12 tyres, yours are wider 155/60/12,the steering is extremely soft at speeds less than 60 KM/H and when u reach 60 and above, it gradually starts becoming hard and hence a slight movement at high speeds wont cause any problem.

Actually your warranty will be finished when u will install power steering because according to suzuki "you have done alteration in your electrical system" :P.. but i dnt think they would even know that you've installed this power steering because there nothing normally visible.

Your steering column will be changed, yours will be removed and the other with eps motor will be installed on bolt to bolt fitting. No mechanical alteration at all. About the cost, i bet i have installed in the lowest cost. :P.. i managed to get it for Rs.4000 and installation cost was 1000. And i am Alhamdulillah having lifetime warranty for it due to a very close friendship with the person in bilal gunj.

If you are in Lahore, you can also have a test drive of my car to have a demo of the steering wheel if you want.

Thats a very nice piece of information. Can u plz tell me one more thing, can it be installed in cultus as well ??
I have 2004 cultus. I live in Multan but since this is a technical work i can spend money and come to lahore to get the job done. Can u tell me a good shop in bilal gunj from where i can get the EPS ??
And also i will b highly gratefull if u can refer me to any good mechanic.
