stand infront of the engine if the transmission bell housing is on the left side of engine its 4G63 from evo1/2/3 or rvr or galant till 1996 if its on the right then it could be of evo6

btw is it manual transmission or auto ?

Its not a evo 6 engine its 2g 4g63t from earlier eclipse/evo I-III or RVR.

A evo 6 engine looks like this :

What your pic shows is the following engine which is not an evo 6 engine but earlier second generation 4g63t.

Kindly note the placement of gearbox and timing components are on the opposite side. Your engine shows the timing on right side of the engine and gearbox on the left side. Its a 2g 4g63t. Further more note the huge differences in the appearance of the valve cover itself. And no they cannot be swapped.
