done 165kmph myself on a new stock XLI (under 3000km) on the Burhan-ISB motorway. An SE Saloon or 1.8VVTi should do 200kmph or above, but the car would be shaaaaaakinnnggggg.......

plz dont tell me its real,,u see the highest speed indicated on a speedometre is the speed of tyre cars in space ,i.e. hanging in air ,,not on road,,so if a car has max speed of 220 on its speedometre then it means that it was tested in car factory in ideal conditions without ever touching the road,,,,so on road in actual conditions the max speed that can be achieved will be limited to say 210km,,,,not the whole 220km

2) the angle at which the picture is taken clearly shows that it was taken by a person sitting on the driving seat ,,i.e. by the driver itself,,not by anyone else.

3) accept that u have made a mistake,,no doubt that u might be heck of a driver but this claim is not possible mechnically.

4) try to answer my queries with logic.

Hi guys wanted to know what bhp does the mark2 produce and which year is it?Secondly I do not understand why would anyone lock it at 180 when it can go 300?Thirdly how r u sure it can go 300?And in the end if u really think that it can go that fast then atleast change the speedometer.I do see that the car goes 180 so it is time for u to change the speedometer.Please give me more deatils abt ur mark2 man.My top speed is 205kmph

@supercars. most of the JDM models are locked to 180KPH and detuned as well..and yea u can not achieve higher speeds just by changin speed meters..u need to have Speed limit defenser or chipped ecu/ecu upgrade..plus this mark2 comes loaded with 1jz-gte.2500cc inline6 dohc vvti 24v,turbocharged..280BHP stock...this model is know as MarkII tourer V,same engine can be found in MK3 supra,chaser n cresta as well....

There is a common term "Electronically limited Speed" used specially when you browse through super cars sold in States. Top speed is limited as per rules and regulations of countries.

Have a look on Fuel and Temp guage. Both are in same position when car was doing 220 km and when the ignition is ON. Now dont say it was on CNG
