actually

vti orial has 18 turbo super charged engine.and give a milage of 20 per litre .it also has a super persuit mode.as soon as the sunroof opens , the vtec kicks in the turbo and the vti runs very fast.

now the exi has no oriel.it is designed for the econimical man in mind .it gives 10 km per litre and is famous for high resale.

VTi actually has size 14 rims.

If someone has changed the rims to size 15 that's a different story.

so there will be some difference there too in favor of Exi.

In case VTi had size 15 rims, how would that favor EXi????

7th Generation (2001-6) Vtis came with 7 spoke 15" alloy wheels with 185/65/15 Dunlop Sp Sport 300 tyres.

The reason Exi (with 185/65/14) will give better kmpl is because there is less surface area and contact with the road & the car (tyres), hence there is less drag and less friction, which means the car needs less fuel to move at the same speed.

actually reading lamps are push type lamps and are available in front for both the seats and the compartment lamp in between. one compartment lamp/light above the back seat.

another feature of oriel is i guess as soon as you open the lock the lamp turns on and as soon as you swith off the car the lamps turn on as well. and fade away in 20 or so seconds. i am not sure if this feature is in vti but definitely exi doesnt have it.

one important thing which is vti has ABS brakes but exi has not:-)

i had vti oriel last year which i sold and have exi now a days.and ABS is most important difference which i feel when i drive exi.

well, i own the 2005 VTi, driven i tonly 8900km uptill now, it gives around 9-11km/l depending on the driving style, EXi however is 100cc less and gives almost the same as VTi has an advantage of VTEC, so the fuel consumption balances, but again, depends on the driving style.

I have Civic EXi 2005 Model since last 3 and a half years.
EXi 2005 gives average of around 12.5-13 kmpl in City and around 14-15 kmpl on Motorway at a speed of 120-140 kmph.

Ok so I don't know that much but still here's the difference. (Edit) I know it's a very old topic. But still I made this reply for new comers who don't know the difference BTW them and who came across this topic to find out. Hope it helps anyone understand.

• Alright first it's EXI - one it comes with 1500cc non vtec I think, also vti and vvti are 2 different things. Where as vti is only a trim package nothing more. And yeah EXI (isn't eagle eye model) it only came till 04
• moving on comes vti or vti oriel now things gets changed a lil bit as this version of civic is newer facelifted model known as eagle eye. ( Only oriel is face lifted ) Because vti is also older model it only got a facelift. Which includes retractable mirrors + steering/windows - alloy's - chrome grill + window panels + fog lamps I think + and most important ABS. Vti and oriel both are equiped 1600cc vtec engine. Next is vti oriel there's not much of a difference in it but it comes with a functional sunroof cd player/fm which is also in vti. Plus it has leather seats rest of the things are same. Lastly it's UG trim which has all options from oriel. But it has leather door panels + dashboard. And that is the whole difference. And yeah 1.6 vti has a best fuel consumption. Because it's an VTEC + vvti engine. So displacement doesn't matter in the fuel factor.
