No PKDM Indus Corolla Diesel was sold with auto transmission, only the 1.6GLi (1600 cc) was sold with an optional automatic. You can also find 99-2001 Honda City 1300cc with an auto trans in your budget. Avoid old JDM 660 cars. You can also find auto converted PKDM Alto in this budget. Good luck!

Sir, despite someone earlier advising you to forget about Duet, you are adamant on buying one. You won't find any new parts for it, and will have to make do with expensive kabli parts. Most Duets have been used by Careem/uber drivers and are in shambles by now. Look for a decent 99-01 Honda City.

Thanks for giving me such a sincere advice and largely because of your persuasion and my Scrape dealers research I've finally dropped the idea of buying Toyota duet as it's really hard to find it's Kabli Parts even in Shershah Scrape market .

Furthermore, I would be obliged if you could please shed some light on Honda city Automatic 2009- 2003 variants, 1.3 and 1.6 fuel consumption with AC in city drive and on motorways as well..as one of city 1.3 owner told me that his city is giving an average of 10 and 12 in city and highways respectively, I guess which is bit less... May be 1.6 varient is giving more.. furthermore, pls guide me in which price range it would be considered a good deal for above mentioned models.

City 2003-2008 is idsi. A proper maintained vehicle on original engine and transmission will do 13 local, 16 Iong.

Please keep in mind; most cars with auto/cvt transmissions will return lesser mileage (vs their manual counterparts) if you only want that from your car. A 99-03 City SX8 auto (1300cc only) will return 9-12 kmpl depending on how hard you push it. 2004 onwards are idsi as one brother said, they come with cvt transmissions, and return very good mileage if maintained. A friend had one and his sister used to daily it, returned around 14kmpl within city easy.

Bro thanks for a detailed response, I put aside Honda city 99-2003 model from my preference list just because it's expensive maintenance , costly spares and slow resale,Though it's drive and pleasure is f11111ar ahead from New Cultus, Alto and same league new but poor built quality Cars..!!

However, Cuore Auto is the option in which resale, availability of cheap spares and fuel economy is there but most of Auto Cuore has vibration issue but today I came across a sides showered but net n clean auto converted Cuore with 4 speed Toyota duet Automatic gear box with the demand of 10.50...whats your valued opinion about it in terms of pricing, resale and converted Auto transmission issues... However, the drave was fantastic and there was no vibration in this converted Auto.

No brother, I would never recommend such an old, entry level car with a hacked transmission, that too for 1 million Rs. The seller is messed up in the head.

Since I have some budget constraints and the Car would be in use of my wife who is a new driver and likely to get body dents and scratches while driving on Jam packed roads of Karachi, therefore preference is to buy a LOW COST, FAST TO SELL AND FUN TO DRIVE kind of small hetch Back Car with instant availability of spare and body parts..
What about Buying a Cuore Manual and convert it into Automatic transmission as I have spoken to Usama Auto's for conversation of Cuore and he gave me an option to swap it with Mira engine 660 CC EFI engine gearbox cost 190k and with same Original Cuore engine and Automatic gearbox would cost around 90k... What's your opinion..??

Conversions are never the way to go, especially when your wife has to drive it

So what's your expert advice in this regard for an auto transmission Car? Keeping the Budget of Rs.7-9 lac in view.

There are many options available in this bracket with Auto/T but with low resale and hard to find spare parts condition..such as Toyota Duet comes with 1000 cc A/T but having poor resale value and spare parts issue, otherwise it's an excellent Auto Transmission Car to keep in this price Bracket for family use.

Buy something like a 98 civic auto, make sure its not a butchery job, let her drive it till its a pile of scrap, dont give her a tiny car because “asaan hogi” - it wont, its far more unsafe and one small mistake could cost her, her own life,

Once shes polished her skills on the civic, it would look like scrap, at that point sell it and get her a new car.

Tip; dont let her just drive an automatic gearbox car, make her learn manual too, its a skill she may need later.

That's what I suggested him to do, bhai wants an auto Coure for a million Rs, or an orphan Duet. @shahnawaznizami82 you can find a pretty decent auto Civic (1996-2000) in a million Rs. Why even think about a Coure when you're getting better vehicles? I get that you want a compact car for her so it's easier for her to learn, but once she get's the basics of driving, she would figure out the car's dimensions. A small car will not help with making her learn quicker.

A couple more options are Liana auto and Platz. See if you can find these cars in your budget.
