I think AAJ news is better than the rest(although its the case of Andhun main Kana raja)
They just need to change their colour scheme which i think is Black and White(which sucks)
Most people watch Geo because of its flashy colour scheme(beleive it or not i think that way) despite of its Anti Pakistan propaganda all the time
Even the news for eid are presented in such a way that a normal happy person becomes depressed(Eid ka elaan hutay hi bazarun main rush, shadeed tarffic jam, logon ku shadeed parayshani ka samna, Atm main cash khatam log paisay nikalwanay k liay dar dar ki thokrain khatay rahay etc etc)

Einstien - I agree ..I also hate for the same but have u thought that these are facts,on which we get disturbed and ignore it, call them spoilers for our celebrations but this indeed my friend is somewhat helpful to the society - Media is the watchdog!!

^^ These are the facts but my point is that the presentation of these facts should be done in a positive manner(if that makes sense :-S). You dont want to listen to bad happening all around you ALL THE TIME. The channels are biased and extremists, PTV being one extreme and Geo being the other extreme(if you know what i mean)

Bad has been happening in this world since its creation but you dont always want to know it all. Give us poor souls a break, we are already too messed up and these channels are doing no good to our minds either(fuelling the fire as they say)

^After reading what both of you state, I come to following conlusion:

I hate Geo as much as any other would do, I hate their anchors, for e.g. Kamran Khan, Shahid Masood, etc !!But I cannot ignore my surroundings someone have to show the mirror to the authorities!!
However, einstien I agree That it should be done in a positive manner - Media should Advertise/Publicize Pakistan as one of the safest no matter how worst is the situation over here;Very soon you will see bright results in FDI, tourism, etc But you can always have that on ur international transmission now can't we?
Rest for local transmission i would like my child to know that dont run on the road/foot paths blind, coz you see the TV people showed there are open manholes that no one's willing to take care of!!

PS: We always have the remote now dont we?

no doubt GEO has more 'resources' than any other tv channel out there, but personally I believe its the worst tv channel. People who are saying its associated with CIA and India, maybe Geo is not really associated with them, but I WANT to agree with all you guys.

Retarted indian dramaz are on air on Geo all the time... I dont watch it anymore because I dont think its a Pakistani channel anymore. When ever there is a Breaking News or any news I need to seek, I always go for aljazeera, the dawn, express news or AAJ...

So I rate express new better than GEO...

In my opinion "THE NEWS" is the best and the most impartial pakistani newspaper around which is published by the Jang group (the owners of GEO TV). Personally I feel that Geo TV has played an important role to set the country free from the clutches of tyranny. It has exposed a lot of evil faces and the propaganda against it is spread around by the ones whom it has exposed and its competitors. This is what I feel. Moreover, i'm yet to read any anti-pakistan article in THE NEWS. Some of its articles might be based on constructive criticism, but such journalism is beneficial and acts as a watch dog of society.

I hate every Pakistani news channel! There is no need to make all Pakistani nation over active in politics and useless propaganda.

People! We need to understand that TV is only supposed to provide entertainment, not fake, false, and anti-Pakistani news channels like GEO, who earn from Pakistan and then they piss on Pakistan by dark, and false news! Pathetic

We need a good entertainment, music and cinema industry just like India, not those bastarX, over-active and hyper news channels that only make people pessimists and mental patients. Believe me you won’t see any positive news about Pakistan on GEO NEWS they are only working for Anti-Pakistan forces to promote they own agenda they never even play any patriotic song on their channel rather they play Indian songs even on their news channel...

I believe govt. should ban at least GEO NEWS forever and make ethical rules for other channels (for. E.g. that they should only give 2-3% on negative reports and more then 50% on Positive news) and they should not repeat news and news ticker again and again.
