Extremely Poor Petrol Mileage

Hi i own 2004 model suzuki cultus vxl. Its Carburetor version and have 3 cylinders. I have tried everything litreally everything it gives me 7-8 km in 1litre petrol and on long run it gives me max to 9 kms ... Let me tell you in deitals what have i done
1. New Spark Plugs
2. Carb completely serviced ( bought a brand new chineese one but again it had issues had to use factory one)
3. Wheel balanced
4. Steering balanced
5. Petrol pump new
6. new petrol pipes

what else is there i have not done ? please i need experts to give a feedback and review. Thanks

Do you have thermostat valve installed and radiator fan at auto?
Which oil grade you are using?

Nope no thermostat installed but yes fan is auto .... and i use zic 20w50 oil

Well if the engine is in good condition and doesn't reduce oil then use 10W-40 oil.
Get thermostat valve installed the faster operating temperature is reached the lesser fuel your car will burn.

yes alhamdolilah engine is in very good condition .. doenst burns any of the oil... oil level is maintained even after 4000kms ... ill try to change engine oil too .. but i dont think engine would make a huge difference

Yup don't expect miracles from carby Cultus it will do 9-10 kmpl max in city according to traffic situation these day's.
But on highway it will do about 14-15kmpl with AC. Only If you have the thermostat installed. Because on highway the engine run's dead cold due to no thermostat valve and that is not good for engine health and fuel consumption...

Well switch to thin oil don't use such a thick oil when your car engine is in good condition and get mixture properly set by some good mechanic.millage will get improve.
