clearly you have no idea about life outside pakistans artificial market, most "daily drivers" in europe are diesels. only performance cars are petrol nowdays over there.

diesels hold their values better throughout europe, main reason is nobody wants to pay silly petrol prices there (and their prices are less than here). Diesels are also sought after as they are MUCH better than what they used to be just 10 years ago. sadly here were are stuck with the benchmark of the pathetic and obselete 2C engine from toyota and compare ALL diesels with that pile of sh*t.
sadly our diesel fuel in PK doesn't allow for smooth running of such refined engines (like in BMWs, hondas, mercs etc) so until the fuel improves expect the prices & values of good diesel cars to fall as nobody wants to keep getting the engine looked at due to the soot/carbon build up in their engines.
Demand is very unrealistic in my opinion however, but it's his car and he can ask what he wants for it.
