My dear bhai, :), there is absolutely no proof of any car being meter reversed or not. The odo meter of corolla, take it to any road side haram khor electrician and he'll reverse it in 5 mins for only Rs 200.
therefore, one buys a used car depending purely upon his expertise, intelligence and luck. One piece of card can't justify the mileage in any sense, not to me at least. 
as for toyota/honda maintained, trust me, they screw up more cars than they fix every day. They aren't angels who touch ur car and turn it to a freaking awesome machine every few months.
for me, I always look if the owner of the car has appropriate knowledge about the periodic maintenance that needs to be done on the car.
99% people hand over their cars to them and take them away, simply paying a few ten thousands, no idea what has happened inside that garage.
