in the past, cars were stolen from karachi and used in punjab. then, cars were stolen from anywhere and used in punjab bearing karachi registered cars record. these cars were called DOUBLING WALI. one car will be in karachi and the other one in punjab or kpk etc.
security guys mostly do not stop karachi registered (newer model) cars in punjab now. the main reason is, majority multi nationals have their head offices in KHI and they give cars to their high ups for use in isbd or lhr. security forces have this point in mind and they normally do not bother with khi registered cars here.
i was once driving from isbd to abbotabad on a khi regd cultus and was stopped a little before abbotabad by a check post. they had stopped around 5-6 cars at that time and were checking docs and all. i just told the police man my company name and told him where i was going. he didnt even ask for cnic or company card let alone the car docs. i was told to go in less than 5 seconds.
on the other hand, karachi regd cars have pooor resale nowadays. thanks to sites like PW lol. people who have access to internet now know car prices in sindh. they do not offer good prices.
in short, if you are not worried about resale, buy and drive a khi regd vehicle with closed eyes.
coming to the reborn, it is a great car. negative point is the color. in my view, the poster is asking a little above than the current market prices in lhr even if we decide to forget about the color.
