Thanks a lot Mubeen Bhai. Your guidance is an inspiration. My total budget only for travelling on my own car is around 30k for two cars for around 2000KM. What alternate can be taken? I own a vitz and i dont think its feasible to take vitz to Astore/Rama. Also i dont want to travel on NATCO as i want to enjoy every minute of the tour. If i take a Hiace / High roof, it will cost 4000/day excluding fuel making it around 25k rent + 15k for diesel = 40k which is too expensive for us. We are 8-9 guys. What would you recommend? Need to know the Cheapest way to travel other than my own car and NATCO.

Your car can go till Astore. It is a proper town and is connected through carpeted road. Take jeeps from Astore till Rama Meadows.
I think your best option is your own cars. As u need 2 jeeps for 10 people and hiace is already out of your budget.
Thanks Mubeen Bhai. Its good to know that the road from Chilas to Astore is in good condition. I heard that its in a very bad shape. We are still under checking for transportation mode. NATCO has offered us a good deal. They will offer a high roof till Chilas for 10 pessengers only. THe driver will be in our command. We can stop the van anywhere. If we reach Chilas by 1-2pm, what shall we take from Chilas to reach Astore? Or shall we make a deal with NATCO till Astore? How's weather at Rama? Any contact detail for PTDC Rama or any rate ideas?

I visited Rama, last year. I simply loved it. i stayed at PTDC. i was a lovely experience..

All of them are putting on each other. PTDC Rama isnt working. PTDC Islamabad says that booking can be done at PTDC Gilgit. PTDC Gilgit says that booking can only be done directly at PTDC Rama. While PTDC rama number isnt working. Hahahaha. PTDC ROcks.

If i'm not mistaken, NATCO goes up to Astore. Therefore, you should ask them for Astore instead of Chillas. If not possible, then you can take either car or jeep. Both will do.
