Buddy,

You can go to Fairy Meadows with femals as well, as we were there along with our few female colleagues couple of years ago.

Only problem is that track from Raikot bridge to Tato Village is danger but good advice is ask your famels campanion not look out of jeep just for an hour else there is no any problem regarding security, accomodation, food , bath rooms, shower rooms and hot water etc.

It will be the most terrific and wonderful trip of your life.

the plan was never executed,b'coz i tried to fly into skardu but my bad luck the flight didn't went for 3 days.I got fed-up of waiting/also my vacations were going down the drains as well.so went to shogran/naran.

Road/trek to fairy meadows opens in April and few ppl i know recently visited it.No problem at all.plz go ahead with ur plan.

Also the route to Bayal Camp is also open.

Guys !

I'm planning a trip to fairy meadows. And i wanna know,
1 - It is safe to travel there by road? If so, should i rent a 4x4 or any 1000-1300-1600 CC car will do the job.
2 - How much stressful is driving on KKH?
3 - Approaximate driving hours,from Islamabad to gilgit.
4 - Should i fly to gilgit and then hire a jeep to reach destination?
5 - Any gud hotels?
6 - Climate?(in june,july)
7 - safe for women?in sense that the trek is quite stressful.coz i'll be going with my wife.

Any other advice or suggestion which i should consider before making the trip.

no problem brother, just make ur plan and go ahead. locals are helpfull at tatu village, meet NUMBERDAR SHAKUR up there in tatu village he will arrange every thing for u. refer myself i am Danish Mahmood from islamabad, perhaps he may recoganize me. a local porter IMRAN is also a good one to hire.

rest about the drive, yes it is hectic.20 -24 hrs. but it is most pleasurable. If bhabhi loves long drives than for sure she will be amazed with this man made wondor.flights are only by luck brother u knw that well.

take no tension and just make your plan.

yes skardu road is one of the most dangerous roads so instead of going skardu why not visit gilgit and naltar valley

you can reach up to gilgit even on mehran.

as i see, the best would be, drive to raikot bridge, park ur car up there hire a jeep upto tatu, trek to fairy meadows. you have a whole day, plenty of time, move slow, enjoy the nature. no need to hurry... reach fairy meadows. take rest, next day walk to bayal camp, exclusives of all places. stay thre according to ur plan, get back to raikot bridge via jeep. take ur car reach gilgit, park ur car at hotel, take a jeep to naltar valley, pass some days up there and back... home sweet home...\

in fairy meadows and bayal camp along with nalter valley you will need jackets and pull overs....

for sure atleast northface basecamp is ok...

for rupal face,, yeah you can also go there. but i think you cant have a round trip of nangaperbet in may...

Thanks for the reply.Just to elaborate further i was asking specifically regarding the track from Bayal to Nanga Parbat Base Camp , but based on ur reply i think it shall be open around 25th of May.

Secondly , i think u mentioned above that "best is to drive up to raikot and park ur car their" , well would it be advisable to take my cultus vxr their and what are my parking options at raikot and thirdly how safe should it be to leave one's car their for 2-3 days.

these days KKH is being re-constructed,hence it's in pretty bad shape from basham onwards till few km's before chilas.hence taking cultus is like doing her a r*pe.Better find a mehran.at raikot there are garages available,which can be rented on minimal amount i think rs 100-200/day.And it's perfectly safe.The ppl up there are poor but not thieves.

yes bayal camp is easy walk from fairy meadows, with family just a couple of hours

well about cultus, it can be reached there, no problem, i have not visited kkh this year, seek info abt road condition and if it is good even ok than u can take ur cultus up there.
at raikot bridge, there are parking sheds where people can park their vehicles for the time they are up. just ahead of the spot where jeeps are available to tatu village. u can ask for help as well. Numberdar Shakur's name might be helpfull in many aspects.

i am forgetting a driver's name, he is a student in khi university and have his own running jeeps up there....

It is very safe to have yr car parked at raikot bridge right beside the road.
I myself did so with my Toyota Corolla & went to Fairy Meadows for 3 days.
