July till September is the good time to visit there.
and travels to mountains always brings surprises. sometimes hidden and sometimes totally unexpected 
example. once i called PDTC Naran (it was last week of June) and asked if Babu sar road is opened since i have to travel to skardu. He said yes its opened since yesterday. I made plan and reach Naran in 2 days. After reaching there they said the road is closed again due to land slide and road is closed for all types of traffic and people are working there to clear the road. It may take 3-5 days.
we spent 2 days in Naran and eventually come back
