Day 7:
After a breakfast of garma garam parathas, fried eggs and omelette with karhak chai we got dressed for Juma namaz. And when in ISB, there is no place better than the magnificent Shah Faisal masjid. JUMA was at 1:30 p.m. so we got there by 12:30 p.m. Magnificent masjid. Ma sha Allah!
After Namaz, we headed to Centaurus Mall for some (window) shopping. Our stomachs started to growl by 4:30 p.m. so we decided to try out Lan Zhao, a Chinese restaurant in F7 Jinnah Super that I had seen a review of, in Dawn. When we got there, it was temporarily closed till July 10. So, we then headed to Kabul House, also in the same vicinity. We ordered the usual...Afghani kebabs & Afghani tikka with Kabuli pulao and Kandahari naan with achar. Delicious! Shukar Alhamdolillah.
Then on great demand, we went for soft scoop ice cream which everyone enjoyed. By the time we headed back to the guest house, it was maghrib time. However, we had decided to venture out after a little rest but couldnāt as we were all tired after the heavy meal. We got into a debateā¦should we or shouldnāt we stay another day and explore Islamabad? The unanimous decision was to head back.
