Yes you can easily go to till keran from where you hire jeep till kel to taobat. Due to the heavy rain expected in these days you must be careful onwards from keran till kel taobat. Wish you good luck. In heaven on earth neelam valley

Butt sb you mentioned in your "NOTE" that a road goes downwards to Kohala bridge before Bhurban, can you show that road on google maps?

Dear Butt SB - from last few days I hv been searching some thing to plan a similar trip with my family of almost same size as of urs (only difference I hv three sons from 8-12 age bracket and daughter of 2 yrs old). Finally I got such a detailed quality information of urs. I m taking guide from ur itinerary. I m from Lahore and planing to start my trip from Rawalpindi on 27th July 15 morning onwards. Would it b perfect to travel in this time?

@Butt sb, fabulous trip... i recently go with my Ammi & abu in own car just for 3 days... so we can't compromise in Food cuz of #BUTT .... i recommend to all visitor never give order @ Kohala bridge..... They all r big stupid Daku.... Last year, i ordered lethal chicken karahi & fish Naan raita cold drinks for 4 persons he charged Rs= 5000 + 200 Tip i pay 5200 without show bill to my Butt Abu.. when he forced me to show the bill .... Meri kutto wali hui...
Chicken Karahi 1 Kg = 1 small Chozaa
Raita = 2 sip
Fish = 3 small piece like nuggets
Naan = 5 garm
So, now we just pay sitting cost on "Manjiaan" rs 200 for an hour and after 3 km from kohala toward Muzzafarbad.... we found lassh hotel where we pay just 2500 for 3 person and meal was awesome & tasty......
So Never eat #Diesel wali fish / Karahi....

Lovely trip with amazing description and pics...i have done this in June 2015 before Ramadan on my motorbike. Arang Kel is the most favorite place for me, but the 45 km patch from Kel to Taobat is also not forgettable.

So butt sb you suggest to take the road that leads towards bhurban and then instead of turning towards pc bhurban keep going straight on a road. Can you show that route which you mentioned as smooth carpeted(That you took on your way back) It would be great!

Like most of the guys here, I am also planing for a trip to Neelum Valley with my family (including my mother / spouse / 9m old baby). Total head count = 5

I am based in Lahore and I am planning to Leave on 25th July, 2015 0500 AM (InshAllah).

I have 6 to 7 days. I dont know much about places where I should spend more time (I have heard about Tao Butt and Arang Kel to be the most beautiful places there but I am not sure that my mother would be able to do a hike from Kel to Arang Kel).

Can anyone suggest me a plan (keeping 6 to 7 days in mind. I dont want to rush and want to enjoy the beauty as I have ample of time)

How is the weather these days? What sort of clothing would work for us including my 9 months old kid?

Any suggestions on route ?

Is it safe to visit these places with family ?

Any particular suggestions for Khaaba points / refreshment points etc ?

Do we need to book resorts before leaving (if yes please share the procedure including contact numbers etc)?

I have Vitz 2007 and I am planning to park it @ Muzaffarabad and hire a jeep from there. Any suggestions on this?
